Great product!
If I could give this product 6 stars I would. The rack looks nice and is well made. Here is where the 6th star needs to come in. Installation is always interesting. We have cement walls. Now, on a normal day we would drill a hole in the cement for projects such as this, but not on this day. On this special day this project turned into a full out stress relieving exercise. We had to substitute nails for the screws. After realizing the nails were not secure enough it was surprising to find that the screws supplied are so strong you can screw them into cement about a centimeter, only after a nail is hammered into the wall about 100 times to make a whole. When you are installing anything onto cement you will find that the wall may not have a true flat surface, but that didn't seem to affect this wonderfully made rack. The wood formed to the wall without any problems or cracking. Also this rack can withstand the force of a small hand hammer coming at full force about 50 times on each side. Not one crack or split. There are a few dents, but with a little brown marker you won't notice a thing. To top it off the little wood plugs that cover the holes still fit after taking such a beating. In all this is a great sturdy and nice looking rack that's easy to install. I will buy again. :)

Attractive, sturdy, functional, and easy to install
We had a remarkably similar rack I bought over a decade ago at Target. Over time, a few of the hooks broke off from heavy use by our (then) young kids! Target no longer carries the same rack, but I was thrilled to find this one, which is practically a duplicate of what we had. We drilled new holes but were able to use the screws that came with it - which were longer and more secure than the original rack it was replacing. Many similar racks have notches on the back to attach to screws - but in my experience, they are less secure. This rack installs with proper length screws from the front, and then has little decorative wooden caps to cover the screws (and yes, they're secure and stay into place well - though I did use a mallet to ensure they were solidly in place, probably not necessary). It looks great, is highly functional, a good value for the price, and attractive. I highly recommend this rack, and have no doubt it will last even longer than the 10+ years of the rack it replaced!

Great coat hangar
We bought two of these and they are perfect. We did mount them on another board as it didn't fit the studs, but it works beautifully

Nice rack, hole spacing could have been better
Decent Rack, hooks are nice (tighten them before mounting, like everyone else has said), wood is nicely finished particle board (not wood). There are 3 mounting holes, which means if your studs are on 16" centers like 90% of everyone, you will only be able to hit one stud, and use two wall anchors on the other two mounts (I used all metal toggle bolts). It's too bad they chose that strange mounting hole distance, because the overall width of the rack is nearly 27" wide, so drilling two mounting holes spaced 16" apart instead would have been a simple solution, instead of using 3 holes on 12 5/8" spacing (12.625") like they did. They supply little plastic plug/knobs to cover up their 3 holes once the install is completed, and they look decent, without detracting from the overall style. So, for being particle board instead of wood, and drilling the holes at an odd dimension I knocked 1 star off. It gets 4 stars for looks, value, and function. I would buy another one if I needed it

excellent coat rack
This coat rack is made well and has been keeping our coats and bags organized. I like how it looks on the wall too. It's the right size and color. Holds all of our jackets without a problem.

Perfect way to make use of wall space next to the front door
I bought this since my house is really tiny and has no coat hooks anywhere, so it made more sense to make use of the 36” empty space between the window and front door frame than to get an actual standing coat rack. Everything feels really solid. I drilled into the stud for the center mount, and then since the other sides aren’t spaced far enough apart to hit their own studs, I used a small mounting anchor on the left side, and a heavier duty mounting anchor on the right side to compensate for a slight curvature in the drywall itself. It feels really sturdy, it looks good, and now I don’t have to keep putting my coat on the floor or hanging it off of a door.

A great convenience!
This is a very nice coat rack! I have been looking for just the right one to fit on a section of wall. This fit perfectly. Very sturdy when installed and it looks great. I like this type as the screws attach through the front then are finished off with nice looking screw caps. I do not like the racks that have the attachments on the back where you put a screw in the wall and then slip the rack over the screws. The screws through the front make for a much sturdier installation.

I'll let this one hang around for a while...(HA! GET IT?!)
I'm not a distinguished connoisseur of furnishing items and the like, but I can definitely say that I am thoroughly pleased with the build quality and look/appeal of this hook rack. When I opened the box, I was immediately greeted with the scent of semi-fresh wood-stain, which made it very clear that this slab of wood was very recently a mere slab of unshaped wood on a carpenters lathe somewhere, and that they were indeed made by hand. The wood itself was almost perfectly flat, and there were no knots or any unsightly flaws within the wood. Of course, that was BEFORE I nudged it off my counter and dinged a corner during the mounting process *curses*. The ONLY gripe that I made to myself when examining the craftsmanship was that they didn't do their due diligence to do the last few passes over the woods surface with some 600-1000+ grit sand paper to really make the varnish shine. Granted, that's more than likely on the account that they're selling these things for a mere $25, so they're not going to spend extra time making it shiny. Otherwise, I'd be leaving a review for a $45-60 coat rack instead. INSTALLATION: While packaging was somewhat lacking, the installation hardware that came with it was perfectly suitable (although I would suggest drywall anchors if you can't find that conveniently placed-stud). In the proper hands with the proper tools, you can have it leveled and mounted to your wall in under 10 minutes. Buy it, mount it, put a bunch of coats and hats on it, then stand there for 5 minutes or so to marvel at their handiwork and yours. That's what I did :)
