Really cut down on the cleanup. I've only used a few times so far, so don't know if they extend the felt filter life. Just wish they weren't $1 each

I got these to make coffee concentrate per the suggestion of another reviewer who just used a large jar instead of the Toddy setup. The cold brew method works fine, removing the bitter taste from my coffee. It's also easier to use the concentrate instead of grinding daily. However, I miss the wonderful aroma that comes with grinding.The part I don't get is that it seems the cold brew method produces fewer cups of coffee than daily grinding. So if I usually grind an ounce of beans daily, which results in three 8-oz cups of coffee, I should be able to get 12 days of coffee from the concentrate using the 12-oz beans with 56-oz of water recipe stated on the filter package.However, I'm lucky to get six days worth of coffee from the concentrate. What am I missing?

Paper filters are a win-win-win-win. They've cut down on my prep/drain time by at least 5x, give a little more coffee yield, are a cinch to clean up and have zero negative impact on flavor.Over the years I've gotten pretty good at soaking the grinds in such a way as to prevent settling, and my drains generally go pretty well w/o any leaks, but even so there's still the 5 minute mid-prep soak time and then at least an hour of draining to really get all the good stuff out. Now I can prep all in one shot, and draining literally takes 5 minutes, maybe 10 if I really want to get every drop out. It tastes just as good, perhaps a bit better because there's no sediment whatsoever at the bottom of the carafe. And the best part is the clean-up is so easy! Just squeeze the bag a little and dump it in the compost bin. The main filters wash out clean with a quick rinse, saving more time there, and should last longer.The only negative is the additional cost. At 75 cents a pop, it's not prohibitive, but I suppose for pieces of paper it could be a little cheaper. The time and trouble saved far outweighs this IMO, and at my rate of 50-60 carafes per year it's not terrible, less than $40. A little bit of that may be recouped from increased filter life but that's fairly marginal and you probably don't want to reuse that thing too many times anyway.Anyway, highly recommended! No way I am ever going back to just a filter.

These are LIFE CHANGING! I would wait forever for my toddy coffee to filter through the old Brillo like filters, leaving a lot of wasted coffee that couldn’t get through. But not with this, the coffee gushes out of these filters without a problem and clean up couldn’t be easier. I wish I could buy them in higher quantities because cold brew just got a hell of a lot easier!

A major step forward in cold brewing. Not only does my husband, the coffee drinker, love these, but I told my sister about them, and she's sold, too.

I always had trouble with my toddy clogging and draining slow. I was about to try a different brew system all together when i came across these. These filters changed everything! My toddy drains super fast now, and my filter doesnt even get dirty. These are a must have if you use a toddy and have clog/draining issues!

I have been using the Toddy system in it's various versions since the 1980's, but these drastically improve the process. I can make a little more extract per pound of coffee, the wool filter stays cleaner, it drains faster and cleanup is faster and easier. I wish I had known about these sooner.

This is just what I wanted. Prior to finding these I'd purchased a case [bc that's the only way I could get them] of the round filter papers for making about a hundred gallons of coffee at a time. I had to fold each one and twist the bottom. I had enough for 10 years and finally used 'em up. SO happy to find these perfect filters. Don't have to buy a 10 year supply anymore. These are a whole lot easier to use.
