This is my second grow light. It has been in use for about 10 days now and seems to work well. My African Violets seem to like it and have lifted their leaves more than with window light alone (the lamps are ~50cm above the plants and on for 8 hours a day).The construction is good with strong, rubber coated goosenecks that hold the lamps in any position. It’s attached to a surface with a G-clamp base. In my case with the G-clamp attached to a shelf and the lamps bent outwards (backwards) over a table with plants on.The light from the lamps (of this full-spectrum model) is a warm white and does not feel out of place in a living area.The only minor dissatisfaction I have with this is that the lamp controller does not remember the state it was in when the power was turned off; when the power returns the lamps do not come on. This means I cannot attach an external time-switch and have the lamps come on automatically at the same time each day (for eight hours as I would like). However, though it's not clearly documented, the timer which keeps the light on for 3hrs, 6hrs or 12hrs DOES have a sense of the 24hr-day. So, if you set it for (say) 6hrs and turn it on at 9am. It will turn off at 3pm and turn on again at 9am the following morning, and continue to go through this cycle. Note: this state is NOT kept if the mains is turned off and on. I found this feature by accident and it really does make this lamp more useful than I had originally expected.Lastly, note that the plug-in power supply has a two-pin plug, so it needs an adapter to be used in a 13A socket.
