A Great Easy Kit!
These herb bottle kits are a great way to start growing your own herbs! They are very easy to set up and very low maintenance, you only need to refill the bottle with water every once in a while. It's also very easy to propagate cuttings with these kits, just insert the cutting into the plug instead of using seeds! They also make a great gift, especially when paired with a bottle of wine!

Can only be used with dark colored bottles
I got this product because I had some really beautiful empty wine bottles that I didn't want to throw out. Unfortunately after I got the product it said you can only use dark colored bottles which was not in the peoduct description and I don't have any of. The product is a little overpriced for what you get although it is exactly as described. I haven't had a chance to plant them yet to see if they even work.

Bottles not Included as Pictured.
Should have read the product details but the product images lead one to believe that the bottles are included. Additionally it was difficult to find a bottle that had the right size opening to fit the tubes in. Other than that, this is a nice idea.

Not as good as the original kit
I loved the original Urban Leaf kit. I had fresh basil all winter long. When I found I could save a few dollars and simply replace the innards, I thought "great!"But it wasn't.The replacements come in two pieces and you have to be very careful which you put on top and which on the bottom, otherwise you will have trouble sprouting your seeds (I think this was the problem with one of my bottles.) You also have to be very careful to make sure the two pieces are smashed together or the roots won't grow into the second half of the replacement sponge (and if the water level goes below the first, the roots will have trouble drawing water (I think this was the problem with another of my bottles, as I got a wonderful plant that then withered and died when I forgot to top off the water.)On the whole, I had more luck with the original Urban Leaf kit than with the replacements (using the same seed, which I had leftover from the original planting.)

Seeds 5 month past date
Very cute packaging. Just got these today and noticed the Sell By Date for all three seed packages is 12/2019. It’s currently end of April 2020. So I will be interested to see if they sprout. The media is uneven. One of the tops appears to be molding already. When I put the stickers on top, the static sucked up some of the seeds so they probably won’t sprout either. I’ve put them together according to directions and have them sitting in the brightest window I have. Now we wait and I will update accordingly.

Perfect starter kit for an indoor herb garden 💜
The media could not be loaded. I love how this window sill kit makes planting an indoor herb garden fun and easy. Clear instructions about how to use it with the enclosed seeds and the packaging is really pretty! I choose the basil because it is my favorite but I will probably do thyme rosemary parsley etc next. Also they fit into wine bottles, which is my planting vessel of choice!

Perfect for me! Growing, Gorgeous and Blooming
Started Thai, Purple and Lime Basil's on the window sill on 4.17.2020 and today is 5.29.2020, when I took the most current pictures. Each day I make sure the vases are always filled to the top with water (not obsessively, but at least 3-4 times a day) and alternate positions of the plants as the sunlight moves in the west exposure (live in the Phoenix, AZ area). That is it and so far so great!

The easiest way to grow herbs I’ve discovered so far!
I’ve been trying to find an easy way to grow herbs at home for ages. Most others require daily watering, which I’m not good at. What’s nice about this one is that it waters itself so the plants don’t die when I’m away. Very happy with this discovery
