Was surprised, bulb is small but it looks very realistic. Color and brightness is great. So far it’s looking good. Looks like it’s well made and not cheap. Very nice.

These are great lights! We use them one on each side of our garage dusk to dawn. Their appearance is bright (mostly because of the flame action movement) and automatically change direction depending on whether your screw in socket aims up or down. Very pleased. Hoogalife offers a variety of these types of lights in various lumens (I think these are about 300 lumens), are LED, and are rated for outdoors. Mixture of orange/yellow--maybe amber. Natural looking. First night, my wife thought the garage had caught on fire. She is now used to them and likes very much.

I have STOPPED 100% OF DEER EATING ALL MY FLOWERS....How?....THIS EXACT BULB!!!! I have a large bricked patio enclosure approx 4' high that borders all 3 areas around my patio up to my residence and have MANY NUMEROUS & GORGEOUS flowers planted on the outside of those 3 brick walls. Later in Spring when everything was flowering so beautifully, I walked out to patio one morning and OH,NO! The deer had eaten 80% of every single bloom from all my flowers. It was almost shocking to see this as I am a very avid flower gardens planter with a green thumb, to boot. So, I read about my issue & also at same time was looking to purchase 3 "lifelike--" LED Flaming Bulbs"....to replace the 3 standard bulbs for the 3 lamps on top of the back brick wall...thinking would give whole patio at night a charismatic look.I could not believe how it did give my patio a whole new sparkling 'wake up' WOW....not only do they look like a REAL flaming bulb!....the deer WILL NOT come near ALL my flowers now...NO DEER at all now for 3 months solid. So, this solved 2 thoughts I had at same time! I guarantee this will work for you, too. The new bulbs are only 4 watts ( prob 50 cents of electricity in a yr ) yet wow...also throws out such a big 🔺️'flaming-flickering AND casting out effect' amount of flame-like light because there are tiny 75 LEDS inside bulb!!...I believe it is the BRIGHT FLICKERING of the life like flame in the bulbs that SCARE OFF ALL DEER. The bulbs are just so beautiful that my neighbors loved them so much for their dynamic flaming & flickering look AND of course, their same flower eating problem some of the neighbors bought same bulb & now NO MORE DEER, for them either. I have become somewhat the flower saving 'hero' of the area--not kidding. 😄....each bulb is $12 bucks--works in any standard bulb socket and also works perfectly if you have outdoor lamps with a screw bulb in upside down type..still the bright flame & flicker effect. Approx 20,000 hours of bulb life due to being LED. Works perfectly in any outdoor lamp sockets AND may have a dusk to dawn electric eye or a timer. Even 1 bulb will probably stop the deer cold from coming back-ever. You got to get 1 or more of these to FINALLY, stop the Deer...Right Now! I would like to get some feedback from those who do purchase this bulb & how well it performed in stopping Deer Cold!... from eating any of your flowers/plants .....AND this BULB IS SO VERY CHARISMATIC...adds much charm & personality to any area. Almost 6,000 of us ( sold products) can't be all wrong!

These lend an "old school" flavor to the porch of our "historic house". They don't last forever... expect to get maybe a few years out of them, but they do work well enough.

These lights are amazing. They look like real flames, and are brighter than expected. They screw in like normal light bulbs and require no special equipment. I use them outdoors to make my house look more festive for both Halloween and Christmas. I like them so much I might just keep them up year round. Good price, worth the money.

Bought these for Halloween last year for the two accent lamp lights on the front of my house. Couldn't have been happier, they look great and put off just the right amount of light. So much so that I decided to leave them there year round instead of putting my usual LED bulbs back in. FYI, for those who may consider doing the same thing, the first bulb just stopped working, almost exactly one year after I installed them. I don't know if this is a typical lifespan for them, I was expecting longer, but they've been worth the modest price. Haven't used any other brand, but I can highly recommend these. Going to purchase 2 replacements for Halloween.

I use these smaller flame bulbs in our exterior gate/post lamps. As these light fixtures are a tiny bit smaller than large street style lighting, these smaller bulbs work well. They retain their color quite well and last a long time. We run these in a total of four lamps near the gates of our home, 7 hours a night, every night of the year. They add a great deal of ambiance for this application and people often ask if they're actual gas lamps. As for longevity, I've found these bulbs last approx. one year, after which you'll being to see the flash sequence begin to fade or fail to work, but it's really not too terribly noticeable to someone just walking by. But, if you know the bulbs well, you'll recognize the flame effect is begin change slightly. At this point in time, I simply pull all of the bulbs out and change them all to new bulbs. No fussing about or waiting for them to completely fail. Just swap them out be done with it. Keep extra bulbs in stock and in one year if you see any of them begin to change, like I mentioned above, just change them all. They also give out a fair bit of light, so the ambiance is wonderfully creative and worth every penny. It's kinda funny, as I began using these years ago and now a few more neighbors are beginning to use them. There are many difference varieties of these bulbs, but I'm sticking the Hudson brand as they've never let me down. I use their larger flame bulb for our large, five crown lamp and they look amazing in them. I guess it's worth saying I also use these in our Halloween pumpkins in the Fall, as they're so candle-like and very safe and dependable. These are pumpkins which go out in late September and are on timers until Nov. 1st. Great product, highly recommended.

I think the random upward flickering is pretty realistic. It looks good in my simulated fireplace. If you need to spread the light, put some aluminum foil behind it.

Quite happy with the lamps, they give a good effect, not as big as I hoped but I should have looked at the size of the base compared to the lamp and that would have given me a better idea.
