Compared to the one other LED strip that I have, this one is much better quality; it looks like it will last a good long while. What you'll receive: one 118 inch long string of 54 LED lamps on a sticky-back tape (about one LED every 2 inches) -- three corner pieces about 6 inches long -- one remote control -- one user pamphlet/warranty card. The sticky-back tape holds well to the plastic back on my TV; I did clean the area where the strip is mounted with rubbing alcohol; there's no danger of it falling off or coming loose. The LED strip comes in four sections -- two sections are 19 inches long, and the other two sections are 40 inches long. All four sections are connected with the corner pieces. My LED strip came completely assembled on a plastic reel, so all I had to do was reel it out and take the paper off the back of the tape to install the entire strip. My TV is a 50 inch diagonal model, so the LED strip was mounted about an inch from the edges on the back of the TV. It fit perfectly around all four sides, and the length of the pieces corresponds to the 16:9 aspect ratio of just about all modern flat-panel TV's. Made a professional looking job, and took less than 15 minutes to install. I plugged my strip into one of the USB jacks on the TV; the one marked 1A. There is also a USB jack labelled .5A (1/2 amp), but this is not enough current to power the strip; you need to make sure you use the 1 amp USB jack. This strip allows for several different solid colors (all four sections are the same color), or you can get the colors to alternate, flash, and do other fancy things, none of which I did because I simply wanted the white color back light. There are a couple different "shades" of white color, so you can choose the one you like. Since it's plugged into the TV, I don't need to bother with the remote; the light strip turns on when the TV is turned on, and turns off about 30 seconds after the TV is turned off (this length of time may be different for different TV's, depending on how they power down their USB ports). My TV is mounted with a flexible arm mount so I can alter its' overall location, but it is NOT mounted against the wall; it's on the front of a large entertainment center that I adapted for the TV. About a foot behind the TV are hundreds of vinyl record albums on shelves, so I don't get any "wall reflection" from the LED strip. So I have my LED strip set to the brightest level, and it really is quite bright around all four sides of the TV with the rest of the room lights turned off. This LED strip really does provide an improvement in TV watching. We binge-watch a lot of old series, and our eyes are no longer tired after many hours of steady viewing, so the LED strip is doing its' job. I'm quite pleased with the result, and I can recommend this LED strip without any reservation no matter what type of ambient lighting you're trying to achieve. (For those who keep asking, this LED strip does NOT change colors with the colors being broadcast by the TV! There is an ambient light strip that does this, but it's very difficult to implement, only works with a very few TV's, and is extremely expensive!)

This works exactly as advertised. It took all of about 5 minutes to apply to the back of my 75 inch flat-screen TV and plug into the USB port on the back, and another 2 minutes to pair up the remote and set the lights to the color I wanted. Best purchase in quite a while.

Easy installation, clear instructions, looks great! Ordered and fits my 65” TV w about 1’ to spare. Seller states strip can be cut but I did not. Remote works well and ample color choices, there are many other features I probably will never use (flashing, fade, etc). I found “bending” around the corners not difficult-smaller TVs may need tighter bends however. I don’t review products often but this one deserves 5 stars.

This is a good, basic, light strip and an excellent value for the price. I was a bit spoiled by a previous Hue light strip installation at another home. The Hue gave me more flexibility with colors and brightness control but cost a LOT more. PROS - Simple to install with good adhesive (the Hue was constantly falling off) Like the ability to plug it into the USB port on the back of my Samsung TV - this automatically turns the light strip on with the TV and off after a short delay. Remote works well - however, I set the color and intensity and forget it for back lighting CONS - Limited color selection Range of brightness/intensity limited and jumps in steps I am happy with this purchase. If you are looking for basic TV back lighting this is a great buy. If you are looking for a lot of colors and flexibility you might be better off with a more expensive solution.

I bought this lLED light strip the first time several years ago and it has worked great. Recently it started to act up and constantly change the colors which was hard to get used to. I changed the batery to no avail. Obviously time to replace it since it must have gone defective. The new one arrived quickly, but now the TV started to act up. Suddenly no audio. What the ....? I checked all connections, made sure the cats hadn't walked over any buttons, reset the box, nothing. And then it came back on by itself. But the LED still flickered. Annoyed, I opened the battery compartment again and wondered: could the battery be in wrong? I flipped it around, and guess what: no more flickering, all buttons on the remote work again. So this is a great light, and I mean, a great light. 4 years and still running strong, but now I have a backup if needed. Definitely worthy of five stars!

Great product, easy install! Remote is Ok, wish it had a dim option on stand alone colors. Bending the corners of the light strip was the hardest part, must plan your right and start bending corner before you actually plan too.

Lights are great.. remote does only working you point it behind the TV.. and adhesion was non existent but I had things to put it up.. minor things that don't really bother me

I like the lights but I can’t use them because the remote control doesn’t work is there a way of turning the flashlight lights of without the remote? Or can the seller send me another remote? EDIT got a replacement not just the remote but new lights as well, they’re still a bit temperamental but I only really wanted it on one colour light which it is, so I’m happy with. The seller was more then happy to send a replacement

Adhesion to TV is good and strip fitted our 48 inch TV going almost the whole way round - which is more than diagram shows on Amazon listing. Works only with TV on Remote is fine, but need to be near to operate lights - not really a problem. LED lights are fine, especially for the price paid. Enough colours available for me As per instructions, if lights don't work straight away, insert other way around. Would recommend
