Five Year Old Thrilled
Our son loves Optimus, so we got him this one. It hasn't broken yet! The arms do pop loose occasionally, but they pop right back on, so no big deal. We were worried the transforming process was too complicated for our five year old at first, but he got the hang of it in a few days, and can pretty much transform it himself now. He is very dexterous, meticulous, focused, and uses fine motor skills on the daily, so we figured he would use it a lot, and he does. We're happy with the purchase.

5 y/o loves it but requires MOM help
I needed to help my son when he first received this. The transformation directions for Optimus is unreal haha, I think the box said something like "10 easy steps". After a few weeks he can do it but I wouldn't be shocked if it breaks when being transformed. This one is better than bumble bee though, he comes with a pamphlet for how to fold! Son loves it no matter what.

I thought this would be a little better built. I should have read reviews before purchasing. My grandson loved it so really that's all that matters.

Harder for younger kids
Our 5 year old was excited for this but it was a little harder to transform than other toys. Doesn’t transform as well easy as we’d hope for.

Quality could be better for price
Sure, my toddler son loves it because he has no idea the value of a dollar. But this is waaaaay to expensive for the quality. When you transform it to a truck the thing in front is so hard to align.

Challenging and fun!
Five year old loved it! It was a gift given to him after a minor surgery. Took me a minute to figure out how to transform one part, but I showed him two or three times, and he got it! He enjoyed the challenge of transforming it into different poses. He even made it look like a plane and a space ship. It’s still a favorite! Great purchase.

This toy of Optimus prime is a good toy if the toy comes damage don't worry you can put it glue it back I would recommend this toy for kids this is a good toy give this toy a 5/5

Ages 5+ Get this instead of the toddler version
My kids is 4.5. I thought to try this instead of the rescue bots version because it would last him longer. (And it looks cooler) There was some initial emotional struggles, but he can pretty much do it himself after only a handful of times with adult help. If you’re on the fence I’d get this over the toddler version. The package is not frustration free.

High quality, not high in height

Bought this as a Christmas gift for my son. Upon opening on Christmas Day, we noticed Optimus Prime’s head was missing & nowhere to be found within the packaging as demonstrated in the video. Would appreciate a replacement head be posted out or return the original for a new replacement

Very upset with the size and quality of this toy! You’d think that it would be sturdier and better quality especially paying over £30 for it! Definitely not worth the price!
