It's very modern looking. Works well and it is silent when running. Nice remote so I can easily turn it on and off in the dark during the night.

I just installed this fan, and there is a strong odor. At first I was afraid that our (reliable) electrician did something wrong, but then I Googled Hunter fans and found that they are notorious for giving off an odor. Some say that the odor goes away; some say it doesn't. I really don't want to have to uninstall and send it back, but I can already feel the odor burning my nasal passages and throat. I will leave it up for a couple of days to see if it dissipates.***It's been one day. My spouse got worried and got on a ladder, and the metal casing was HOT--I mean, don't leave your fingers on it for more than a few seconds hot. We checked the other fans in our house to see if this was normal, and none of them were hot. We ended up turning off the unit completely, and we ran out and bought another brand this morning. Luckily the electrician was able to replace it on the weekend! Based on this experience, I'd say Do Not Buy this fan.

Well, I had a fan that went bad so I thought the Hunters I have have been pretty reliable. The fan is nice, but you need a longer down rod to mount it on an angled ceiling. That's ok, they are cheap here on Amazon. The bulb included is a CFL and not great at dimming; I switched to a more expensive LED bulb and it works great. The glass dome part is a bit unattractive and unnecessarily large even though the fan itself is quite attractive. It makes for a nice but not super appearance.The remote is oddly shaped and although it looks cool they had to make an odd wall holder for it, and it is difficult to hang on the wall correctly. Often I need to use two hands to position it straight which is kind of silly.Big pro- this fan pushes a lot of air, and is very quiet even on high. I think maybe because the blades are so strongly angled it seems to move at a slower speed on high than most of my other fans but it pushes out a ton of air.Overall, I recommend this fan, but plan on buying a replacement bulb and

I like the look of it and the air flow is great. My only complaint is if you run it on any other speed than low it wobbles.

The bulb and the frosted globe were broken-- and the fan hums when it runs in the counter clockwise direction.

I already owned one of these when I bought this model. First off, I love HUNTER fans. They are always so quiet and I have never had an issue with them. I have an 'L' shaped family room and wanted to replace the second area with a matching fan...it currently just had a ceiling light. The fact I can control them via the remote is what is very appealing. However, I have not installed it yet and am hoping they don't conflict with each other when I use the remote. We'll see.

I bought 2 of these Fans in 2013, one came with a defected motor so we could only use the lamp and not the Fan, since we live in Aruba there was no option to return. In 2016 we decided to buy the same fan again to replace the one that was never working properly. for 2 years both fans worked really nice, but now the motor of the fan bought in 2013 quit working. So again i have to buy the whole fan again....that is 4 Fans in 6 years

The angle of the phote doesn't highlight the larger light cover. Make sure you check dimensions as the unit sits lower than we anticipated. The fan is good quality and the blade stain is attractive and neat. Very happy with the outcome.
