Native to subtropical regions, this small robust plant is often cultivated as a rock bonsai because it develops mangrove like roots. The Hawaiian umbrella tree comes in a dwarf version that makes a beautiful bonsai. In fact, this particular bonsai tree is probably one of the easiest to grow & maintain, making it perfect for beginners.

Moldy and crooked
Dirt was moldy and smelled terribly. Not what I was expecting based on other reviews. The Plant we got was also severely crooked. While the trunk is supposed to be intertwined and I expected this may cause it to not be 100% straight, the plant we got is not healthy looking at all.

lost Leaves during shipping
Plant lost a lot of leaves during shipping. When I opened the box a bunch of leaves fell out and it’s been steadily losing them ever since. I’ve repotted it hopefully it will help.

It died ....
I loved this plant; however, I watched it slowly die.I got a refund but would rather have had the plant. So sad.

Don't over water the plant and it plant don't like wet feet
Did the wharf umbrella plant I love the size of the plant a little hard to maintain but when it's healthy has a little sent to it I like that also

I love this plant!
I ordered two of these and really love them. They were packaged in such a way that the plants arrived undamaged with no crushing.I wouldn't necessarily recommend having them shipped during the winter months though because the cold would kill them deader than a door nail.
