This Inuyasha fantasy anime sword is a great item for display and cosplay. Its features a blue handle, brass fittings, a 440 stainless steel blade with a wirebrushed hamon, and a black scabbard with Inuyasha characters written on the side.

Quality is reasonable - Product doesn't match description
Its a very cheap prop sword, but as long as you don't expect to use it for cutting practice or killing Zombies, it works. The blade, hilt and pummel are metal, while the handle is plastic imprinted with a fake snake-skin pattern and wrapped in a BLUE nylon cord. Normally the cord ends by entering a slot in the pummel, but due to the unique pummel on this sword, it ends at the top and is glued in place. The product you receive will probably be more like the one in the reviewer's pictures. That is, the description is not accurate at all. The handle wrap is NOT brown (its bright blue) and you may or may not get a sheath with symbols on it. Mine was a shiny plastic sheath with no symbols, and a few wraps of cheap red cord glued on near the top.If you are looking for an accurate replica of InuYasha's untransformed sword, this isn't it. The only thing correct about it is the hilt and pummel. With that said, it is a good starting point to create your own. If you aren't afraid to unwrap the handle cord and put on your own, a few dollars at a craft store and a few hours work could yield a fairly accurate prop.I would give it 4 stars as a prop sword, and two as a Tetsusaiga replica, so three stars is my final score. It would do the seller good to change the description and picture to reflect the actual product. With that said, thanks to another reviewer's images, I knew what I was getting into and planned to modify it regardless.

Wonderful Quality
Wonderful quality wood and steel can take it out of sheath without the worry of it falling apart. the handle is nice with tightly woven yarn around it which is also not falling apart.

Not as Advertised, Not Worth the Gamble
After my futile search for the Tenseiga, Sesshomaru’s healing sword, I settled on this seemingly decent replica of Inuyasha’s Tetsusaiga...or so I thought. Before I ordered, I was a bit confused by the product description, which said the handle was wrapped in brown nylon string, when the picture clearly displayed a black wrap. Also concerning were the number of sporadic reviews, all of which seemed to be contradictory to each other and the product description. I suppose this should have been enough of a red flag, but I daringly took the gamble anyway and ordered it.Here’s what it got me...The sword I received had a Tetsusaiga hand guard made of what feels like a cheap metal (not the stainless steel as stated in the product description). I’m not exactly sure what kind of metal it is, but it can’t be the same steel as the blade as it had no magnetic attraction. Another discrepancy was a deep blue hand wrap instead of the black as displayed in the picture, or brown mentioned in the description. This came as a pleasant surprise to me, as the sword now resembles the aforementioned Tenseiga, but still was not the product advertised. While I went through SDN Retail, you might have better luck with other sellers. However, with the mixed reviews, my guess is it’s not worth the risk. Don’t count on getting lucky like I did.

Pros and Cons
The box arrived a day ahead of schedule. Upon opening, the appearance was flawless. After picking it up for the first time, I noticed a small part of the ito (braid on the handle) was off of the handle (nothing some super glue didn't fix). After drawing the sword, I noticed a small amount of a strange material on the end of the blade. The inside of the saya (scabbard) is lined with a oil or wax-like material to prevent the blade from being scratched, and because the blade was warped slightly left, about four inches of the end of the blade was slightly coated in it (washing with hot water removes it easily). The saya's outside had three kanji (Japanese characters) spelling InuYasha. Contrary to the picture, the ito is blue , not brown, and the sageo (cord on the saya) is directly under the koiguchi (scabbard mouth). The paint on the saya chips fairly easily. All in all, this item was well worth the price. The only thing I don't like is the warped blade, but the rest is all okay.

Meh
For the price of the sword it wasn't too bad, but after a few days the glue holding the metal piece to the scaberd/sheath where the sword gose in has already deteriated and now I have to glue it back on myself. Which isn't really a big deal considering I only paid like... $34 dollars for it, but still. It's an okay replica but nothing more.
