Good value for the money
I got this ball head in today-- overall, I feel it is good value for the money, so I am giving it 5 stars:Con: I wanted an Arca-Swiss compatible receiver, but this one is not. I have a more expensive Koolehaoda head (~$49) that is and a receiver that is ($11). I could have figured out that the smaller dimension is almost the exact width of my current plates, so it was my fault. If they could sell a version that is already Arca-Swiss compatible, then it would be perfect.Pros: After a bit of drilling, I was able to take my $11 receiver and adapt it to work. Now I have a very small, fairly light weight Arca-Swiss ball head for about $30-- not a bad deal. The horizontal turn is smooth. The ball requires a stiff turn of the blue knob, but it is up to the task if you are. After locking it in place, the setup is very secure, even with an EOS 80D, 1lb+ lens, and large flash. The single knob on the ball was the selling point to me. Three knobs is enough, a fourth would be way to confusing in the dark.
