I bought these tape rolls so all my wires on my roadster project were color matched . Quality tape

I tend to prefer rubber electrical tape to vinyl but these multi-color tape rolls server a purpose to which they are well suited - marking lines. I live in a 1920s bungalow with a lot of old but still viable cloth insulated copper wiring. I don't know if the insulation was ever different colored but now all the lines are the same shade of dark grey. Once I test and determine the live wires, etc. I use these multi-color tapes (red, black, and white especially) in a band around the ends of the wires to mark the hot and neutral lines, etc. This is not only safer (no forgetting which line was hot and which was neutral) but saves time/effort when going back into a box or fixture to change something. So, for that purpose this works great and I always keep a set in my wiring toolkit. I've also used the yellow and green tape for non-electrical work or work on small projects where color is unimportant. The tape itself has a nice thickness, good adhesion, and can be stretched pretty tight without snapping when making those high tension wraps. Like all vinyl electrical tape it can get a little gooey if you try to remove it later on, but that's just par for the course. Good stuff here.

My family would tell you I'm obsessed with tape. Having the right tape for the right job is very important to me. I have a large tape collection of specialized tapes I've ordered over the years from tape wholesalers to address a myriad of needs. So when I designate a tape as multi-use that says a lot! I'm thrilled to have found this tape in the Violet color at Amazon! I use different colors for different purposes and violet has always been designated as my travel tape. I originally purchased a 6 pack of this brand in 6 different colors from our local Ace Hardware. Each roll lasted for years. Our local store no longer sells them in multi-packs nor do they carry the violet color any longer. So I replenished other colors from them but not my most used color of violet. In retrospect I wish I'd discovered that Amazon carries this first! Amazon's prices for most colors are far better than Ace's. Here most rolls cost $3.98. A few, like blue and violet cost $6.15. The higher price is about what we paid at the hardware store for all the individual colors. I use the violet tape to wrap around the lids of containers with liquids to prevent leakage caused from the pressurization of airplanes. After sealing the cracks with this violet tape each little travel sized bottle is placed into a small ziplock baggie too. Just in case I didn't do a good enough job wrapping the lid and some body lotion or hair conditioner leaks out anyway...it's mess is contained to the immediate baggie it's in. I love my system which is highly dependent upon this exact brand of tape. Frankly I never really noticed that this was electrical tape before and in a pinch I've tried to use standard black electrical tape for this same purpose but with poor results. There are 2 main reasons this tape is far superior. First the stretchiness of this brand enables it to conform better to each lid shape improving the failure rate (meaning less leakage) a lot. 2nd, this tape leaves no residue behind. So when I arrive at my destination I remove the tape used to seal each container and stick it to the side of a vinyl cosmetic bag to be reused for the return trip. The longevity of this brand of tape's use for this purpose is remarkable. In some instances the same piece of tape has been reused many, many times with no loss of stickiness. So the main benefits of this brand of tape versus other more typical electrical tapes include: 1. This brand is much stretchier. 2. This tape leaves zero residue behind 3. It retains its stickiness after many uses 4. It's reusability factor is very good When I use any other tape for the same purpose it rarely lasts beyond 1 trip. One minor disadvantage exists which is that because of its stretchiness, when a piece has been stretched a lot and then I place it on the side of a cosmetic travel bag to be reused for a return trip...the tape itself no longer lies flat. That's because the edges have been stretched and they become misshapen and sort of bumpy. This doesn't negatively impact it's use but it just makes it look messy and unkept. But once it's reused this disadvantage disappears. It's really a minor thing! What more can I say about this amazing tape? Well one more thing I can think of is some of my other uses which include labeling things, identifying things by tape color and last I sometimes use this brand of tape for actually wrapping worn sections of charging cables...so that's kind of an electrical use I guess :-) I love the huge variety of colors this tape comes in as well! That's about all I can think of off the top of my head. I truly believe anyone trying this tape for the 1st time will be equally impressed!

It’s good quality tape that comes in colors. I used on my Mark Levinson 5909 headphones in order to indicate right and left ear cups, RED for right, BLUE for left, after replacing the foam padding which came stock after the headband came apart. Again. I’m very pleased with the end result. I did the same on my HiFiMan Arya Stealth using RED & WHITE.

great for cable labeling and quick repairs. color coding can be really helpful depending on the task. I do prefer the wider stuff for electrical work like wrapping wire nuts. I keep all five rolls on a small chain and T-bar that I made from some old hardware. great way to hang on hooks at the workbench or pegboard. Scotch brand it always dependable.

At the time I bought this violet electrical tape it was $4.35. It's great quality, but the color is a bit off putting if you're putting it in plain sight, but I knew it would be for inside outlets or walls, so it didn't matter what the color was to me since I wouldn't be able to see it anyways. I swapped out the outlets on my house and used this electrical tape for it. The electrical tape has held up well and it was less than $5.00 for the role. If you don't mind that it's violet then it's a great product to buy. The electrical tape adheres well to surfaces and it is definitely 3M quality. I use 3M sandpaper and this electrical tape and every time I use 3M products they're excellent in terms of quality and perform well.

Good tape. Size does matter. This is not a standard roll of tape. They are small.
