Very bright.
Decent construction. Just about as sturdy as one would expect for the price, however, what you don't find in the six dollar flashlight bin at the hardware store is an LED this bright. The bright setting is blinding. This thing easily outshines any small flashlight I've owned (aside from actual spotlights and so forth). I'm pleased and may be interested in another for the other car once it becomes available again. I didn't notice the details about being waterproof or the three brightness settings when I purchased. I wish it was just a single full brightness setting, but I can see a use case for a strobe in an emergency. I would like to find something like this with a magnet at the base. It says it's waterproof, but after taking it apart and looking at it, I really doubt that it would be any more water resistant than a normal flashlight. Still a steal at the price.

So Bright, So Focused, and Great Bear Spotter!
These lights rock! I keep buying more of them to have around my house/cars/friends' cars/family's house, etc. It is amazing what they do for the price, and with only one AA battery. SO BRIGHT! And the ability to focus the beam down to a little square makes it so easy to see what you are looking for or at, even in the darkness of no-moon night. We live in the mountains, and I have actually used this light while dealing with Bears on my porch (I chose it over my 3D MagLite, believe it or not.)

a nicely built little pocket flashlight. With good output.
for the money this little flashlight cant be beat. The build quality is excellent.... it feels sturdy and rugged. There is one exception to this and that is the battery compartment. i received a complimentary review sample of this light. It didn't come with instructions. Now you figure, I wasnt born yesterday so why would I need instructions to operate a flashlight. I don't, really. But the compartment for the battery was such an odd size that several of us stared at it for a while trying to figure out what size battery it wanted. When in doubt, go with AA. So that's what I did, and it worked. What's odd is all the space around the battery. I am just not sure why they didn't make the compartment narrower. Its the correct length, but there is about an eighth of an inch of space all around the battery. It works, its just a little odd.As others have mentioned, the light has a zoom function that you engage by pushing or pulling the end of the flashlight. Curiously, when it is a tight beam, its square. Wide angle gets round. For under ten dollars the light output is pretty darn good. I light up a swath of my yard and am able to check for coyotes, skunks, fox and the like before I let my dogs out for their last bathroom break of the night. The light isn't all that bright, but it is certainly good enough for most non emergency purposes. I happen to be a bit of a flashlight junkie. I would say this one could hold its own against lights costing twice as much and it definitely outshines other lights in its own price category, but don't expect to use this for photographic light painting.BOTTOM LINE: this feels like a solidly built and rugged flashlight. the price is ridiculously low. At 6 or 7 dollars I would buy a few to have around. They aren't going to replace your higher end flashlights because they can't compete with those. But they are small and pocketable and therefore easy to have with you all the time. It's might enough to get you out of a jam. recommended.

Acceptable amount of light for the size
I own both this flashlight and one from another brand that is nearly identical in all respect, aside from the size of the LED and the size of the battery compartment - the other runs on 18650 batteries and claims to be 1000 lumens. Both were sent to me by the manufacturers to test, and I promised only my honest opinion. This is definitely a pocket sized flashlight - small enough to not cause any bother in a purse or even a pocket. It also runs on AA batteries (1xAA, not included), which are both cheaper and more easily found than the massive 18650 that powers its older brother. Of course, the smaller size means less light - significantly so. To put it this way - if you drop your car keys in the dark, the SecruityIng mini flashlight will be a godsend. If you're walking in the woods at night, you'll want something more powerful. The build quality is better than expected for the price. The clip is handy - I have attached it to my hiking bag and it seems pretty solid.I really wish this were a one-mode flashlight. Personally, I don't have much use for strobe or low power modes, but maybe that's just me. The reason why this is a four star and not five star review is the mode memory. If you turn it off of a different mode, the flashlight will still be on that mode when you turn it back on. This is very inconvenient when you're blinded a little by a strobe instead of a solid beam. The power is acceptable for a single AA battery, but nothing too crazy. You can also "focus" the lens, narrowing or widening the beam.Overall, it's not bad and for the price I really have no problems recommending it. I'll be testing it over time to see how it holds up. The mode thing is a pain, but overall I'm pleased with this flashlight.
