Very Nice Display for my Katana Swords!!!
The black lacquer is really what makes this display look nice with my Katana Swords! I originally rated this stand at 4 stars, but due to it's low cost, you really can't ask for more, so I raised my rating to 5 stars. It really is a fair price for what you get. My CAS Hanwei Katana's are not collectors items, but still nice in my opinion, so this stand was really all I wanted, or needed. It comes in a small box, with protection, and packed well. It only took a few minutes to assemble, with 1 screw and 1 wooden guide pin, for each side. Once assembled, I found it very sturdy, plenty strong for 2 Katana's. It also comes with a pre-installed closed loop hook, on each side, to make it easy for wall hanging, brass colored. When fully assembled, the display/stand, is over 12 inches wide, which is plenty wide to support your Katana. It's total height is approximately 10.5 inches tall, and the depth is 3.5 inches deep. The contoured sword supports have a red velvet pad that simply sticks to the wood, for the protection of your Katana. The display stands on its own just as well, to place anywhere you'd like. Its a simple display, and is made with the least amount of effort, but still, nicely done. I do recommend this display/sword stand. It's simple and still looks nice.

Simple design, and it works just fine.
The black enamel finish has a deep and striking color palate. The unit screws together quickly and is sturdy. I put mine on a flat surface and it doesn't rock/wobble at all. There are brass hangers on the back if you wish to hang this on a wall. The swords fit snuggly in the two slots; there is no play and that's good. The unit arrived quickly, was easy to assemble, has a stunningly good look to it, and is fully functional to hold two of my swords snuggly. It displays the swords without covering much of them. For the price, this is a quality holder. Buy it.

Above quality for a very reasonable price
I went to Japan several months ago and picked up a katana in Kyoto as my one big souvenir for the trip, but forgot to buy a stand along with it. When I got back to the States, I didn't want some cheap particle board stand that would just break and/or look tacky. After looking at the limited offerings on Amazon, I went with this one and crossed my fingers. Turns out it was a great buy. It was solidly built, easy to put together (you literally just place the arms in the slots and done) and it didn't have any of the overdone flash that some of the other stands around have. You can spend a couple of hundred dollars on an "authentic" stand, but unless you're an actual collector, you'll do just as fine with this. The balance is spot on, the felt protects both hilt and sheath, and it's the perfect size to fit wherever you want to display it.

A Nice Little Stand
Black, shiny, stable and decently made. Two wooden pegs and two brass machine screws to hold it together from either side (The screws fasten into metallic hardpoints in the cross-member.). Thick red velvet padded rests. The finish on mine is very nice. 12.25"L x 3.25"W x 9.25"H Nice stand overall. Not far from perfection. I had to gently loosen two of the velvet strips and reseat them because they were under tension and would gradually lift free. I used a little wood glue on the pegs then screwed the sides down. Add half-an-inch to the base from front to back and two shiny black wooden caps to cover the screw holes and it would be perfect by my standards. The wall hangers look too thin and frail for me to trust using it in that mode with two sharp and valued katanas in it. They may be there as stabilizers for the stand when placed on a flat surface, fastened to the wall as some tall furniture have to help keep it from falling forwards.

Good wall mount sword stand, good price.
Read some reviews on other similar sword stands which some had a few negative reviews about the finish and workmanship. This one was exactly what I wanted, nothing too fancy, just something that is decent that I can mount on my wall to display my sword. It has a high-gloss black finish, came with no dents/scratches. Super simple to assemble, and looked exactly as the picture shows. I would recommend this product to anyone. Also, I believe the bracket going horizontally is reversible, so if you don't like the logo you don't need to have it showing in the front as the backside is fully painted as well. Nitpicks: 1. Besides the screws, there are pegs for the stand that are hidden. The holes drilled for them are way way way too large, or the pegs themselves are way way way too small for the holes. Can fill the gap with something, but I assembled the stand and the pegs didn't seem to be necessary, the stand is pretty solid so no need for me to fill in the gaps. 2. Screws are silver/metallic which doesn't bother me that much, but would be nice if the heads were blackened or if the stand came with some black plastic caps to go over the screw holes. 3. The felt wasn't perfectly fitted so I had to peel them a bit and readjust them. They are pretty sticky so I didn't need to re-glue them.

The disassembled stand arrived four days after ordering with all parts included and in perfect condition. It takes only a couple of minutes to assemble, and afterwards measures 12 3/4 inches wide, 9 3/8 inches high, and 3 5/8 inches deep. I removed the two hangers on the top-back surfaces of the two vertical up-right legs of the stand held in place with small fillip-head screws, because I will never "hang" the stand on a wall (which IMHO would look dumb). The red felt strips lining the holder's "hooks" which prevent scratching to the sword(s) and/or sword sheaths, and also provided on the four feet bottoms of the stand to prevent scratching of your furniture, were well attached and attractive. The gold "Ten Ryu" dragon logo and script on the front of the horizontal cross support is classy and dresses-up the product. The quality of the stand, especially considering its price, is excellent. Buy it!

Excelente produto! Ainda tem forro para apoiar a espada e não riscar. Bem melhor do que um que havia comprado no Japão. Recomendo!
