100% Useful and silent!
Having a Crate RFX30 amp, it is a great amplifier, but having to stop and press the switch for overdrive channel is a pain in the...well you get it. Thus having this two button footswitch makes switching channels fast and easy. Being able to cancel the effects when in hard overdrive to let it ring out is even better! Often with serious overdrive, the effects can cloud the tone and make it ultra muddy. You guys that run a hot amp know what I mean. Well with most amps that have some FX stuff on board, you have to reach over to the amp and kill the FX by shutting it down, often making it even harder to reset when you swith to clean and want the FX back. This is a great feature in itself. The footswitch is totally silent. Has well defined LED lighting on both foot switchs, and has an ample amount of cable so you're not tied to your your amp with a scrap of cable. The casing is solid and a rubber base keeps it in place all the time.If one has a Crate, or other amp that has the stereo plug for a two button footswitch and needs a reliable and QUIET dual footswitch, well here it is. Well made and again, and I can't say it enough, 100% silent. No pop. Tick, Click, or anything to mess with your playing. That really means more to one that records too as there will be no need to edit that pop out of the rcording.

Just what I needed
Well, I haven't had it for too long now, but I needed a footswitch for my Crate V33h head (modified as well, doesn't affect the functionality of the product)Previous attempts at a footswitch failed when I bought a Hosa one (not like those pictured on Amazon) and it just stopped working- either a faulty wire or a dud in the electronics, I don't know...), so I decided to get the legitimate thing for my amp.So, it works really well so far. Switches channels more smoother than the other one I owned, and the boost function is useful and seems to work fine. But, I haven't had this for long enough to give a reliability review.

Dodge the stompbox expense. Make your amp do its job.
I purchased this for a twenty year old 30 watt Crate GX-30m combo amp. The amp features a switchable overdrive and chorus channel. This worked flawlessly from the first plug in. Channel changes are pin drop quiet beyond the clicking underfoot. The LED indicators do not light up, but I am attributing that to the differences in my aged amp model and current switch specs. This simple little switch saved me money on separate stomp box effects for the same results. Highly recommended.

Does the job
The switches function properly and it came with a patch cable, but the 2 LED lights do not work. So you can't tell whether the switch is on or off.

Crate Two Button Metal Crate Footswitch
Works like a charm! I use this on my Crate 220 watt bass amp and it allows me to switch from clean to custom channel without moving from my playing position. This is an all metal unit so it should last a long time with proper use.I would recommend this to anyone needing a 2 channel switch.

Works Great
Works exactly as it's supposed to. My Crate v50 tube amp specs a VSFS-2 button switch but it is not available anymore. I took a chance and ordered this one and it worked perfectly on my application. It was shipped quickly and in time for my Friday night gig to boot (it now has one very successful gig under its belt) so I couldn't be happier with this purchase.

Great with one small flaw
If you're like me, you want a solid footswitch that isn't dirt cheap but that also isn't $50. The Crate switch is indeed a good compromise. I'm successfully using it on my Peavey Delta Blues 210 for switching the overdrive and tremolo channels.UPDATE: The Peavey Delta Blues, Classic 30, and Classic 50 all output 30V of power on the footswitch jack. The resistors used in this footswitch only allow one of the two LEDs to (partially) work. For full LED fuction, you will need to swap out at least one set of LEDs and resistors.Dimensions:5 3/8" x 4 3/8" x 1 7/8" (rear height)Weight:Very light, under a half poundMaterials:Top - metal, bottom - metal (slides off with either side removed), sides - dense plastic (3 screws per side)Included accessories:1/4" TRS cable - 12 ft.Pros:- Detachable 1/4" TRS cable- Good 1/4" TRS cable length - 12 ft.- Durable buttons- Nice aesthetics- No cold solder connections internally- Two anti-slip strips on bottom- Overall solid construction, though a bit overpriced IMOCons:- LEDs not universally compatable- Light and flimsy if not attached to a pedal board (probably true for similar products)Bottom line:If LEDs are worth $10 more to you, buy this footswitch. If not, I might try the cheaper Hosa switch that looks identical - although I can't comment on the build quality or the inclusion of a detachable cable. I hope this review was helpful!
