Bang for the Buck
My cat absolutely loves this. I have had no stability issues, or problems with the parts. I have had it for a long time and it still looks very nice (though I do regularly clean the cat hair off of it with a cat brush of mine, which oddly works great). It is very large, I am 5'3 and have to stand on my toes to pet my kitty when he is sleeping on the tallest perch. It was relatively easy to put together if you take the time to lay out all of the small bolts and other pieces. I only say this because there are quite a few of them and they vary in size and shapes by small differences. It took me maybe 30 minutes total after opening it and laying everything out. My cat is 12 pounds, and loves to jump up walls and run around like a crazy beast at random times and this tower can take it. I've watched him run full speed and jump to the very top post, lay down and start kicking it with his back paws, push himself off of the boxed cubby with his back legs and fly away and it barely wobbled. I was happy I bought this, as it is bigger and less expensive compared to some of the ones at my local pet store.Update: 02/17/2018I still have this cat post and it is still in great condition. I have had to mend it once in the three years I've owned it simply by gluing the twine rope back around one of the base poles (because my cat is a ruthless hunter and seems to prefer this pole). He is too big for the basket so I filled it with his toys and he loves to pull them out and play with them, or stalk a shoe string in the basket until I pull it away. My cat has long, white fur and I have to consistently vacuum the furry base boards and use a brush that came with the vacuum to remove his hair and keep it clean. Through all of the constant use from my cat and abuse it takes for me to clean it, it has truly remained in great condition and almost looks brand new when it's clean. I have had no other issues with the materials coming apart, aside having to glue the twine back onto the pole. I stand by my five star review because my cat leaves whole claws in my carpet/couch after a playful freak out, and this thing has held up well. I did take the top section (where the little box is and top tier with the fluff ball) off of the whole and put it in my bedroom for him to use to look out of the window.

A great fortress for Rebel the terrible kitten
I adopted a 10 week old kitten from our shelter and named her Rebel. (Yes, that's a Star Wars reference.) She needed a fortress from which to hatch her plans to defeat the Empire...and so I bought this cat tower. I was a bit nervous after reading some of the reviews, but we had no trouble putting it together. The directions are just an exploded diagram, which I tend of have a hard time with, but hubby made short work of it. The carpet and wood used in the construction are lower quality than what you would find in a cat tower at Petsmart or Petco, but this cat house is still very sturdy and well worth the price. Even though they're slightly less quality than the ones in big pet stores, this thing is going to last a long time. Rebel the kitten enjoys many long naps in it, recharging her Jedi mind trick skills. The hammock is pretty small (she's now 14 weeks old as I write this and she fills it up already). She likes napping in the "teepee" and the "cubby" areas, and even naps up on the very stop perch...but she tends to use the hammock to store her cat nip stuff wine bottles. (I know, I know...she's a drunk already). We turned the hammock so that it hangs over the landing platform underneath it because she was afraid to jump that far out in order to get in it. It swivels on the hinge. The sisal covered posts are the same quality you'd get in a major pet store and she didn't even need to be encouraged to start scratching them. We love the Rebel fortress...and so does she. Great purchase.

Good for the budget, buy maybe not so practical. Edit: 1-year later after
Edit after 12 months: When we first set up this tower, its ease of assembly, appearance, and how much the cats liked it made me give it 5 stars immediately. ~3 months after purchase, the tower part with the hammock fell off completely, so I changed the number of stars from 5 -> 4. 12 months later, the topmost tower part also broke off, so the little 'house' is now the topmost part with those two pieces gone. Our cats are 13, 12, and 11 lbs (3 of them) and they are only moderately active. So why still 4 stars and not less? Well, for one, anyone with a lot of cats knows that anything you get for them doesn't last very long, and even with those 2 parts gone, they are still able to enjoy... some of it. Also, the company allows you to purchase replacement parts from them directly in a way that is simple and affordable (I vaguely remember it being $12-$20 a part or something). Now on to the original review:Like many other cat towers on Amazon.com, this one was attractive because of the price and the apparent quality. At a local pet store, parts that are much smaller than this cost about the same or even more. I chose this one because it was a good mix of price, parts, and design to accommodate my needs. The assembly was super, super simple. Its like a giant Lego set with 20 pieces and can be put together in ~30 minutes by anyone. It wasn't a frustrating experience at all. Once set up, it looks very nice. The tower (as a whole) is also very stable. Many of these towers look like they could fall over easily, but our cats have launched on and off of it many times, and it barely moves at all. I have no worries of it falling over. There are some issues I have though that I hope can be addressed for future builds. This model, like others, features fairly small components. Our cats are not large at all (maybe about 7, 8, and 9 pounds [they were kittens when I originally posted this - they are 11, 12, and 13 lbs now]), and they in some ways are too big for this tower. The tent-like structure is definitely too small for them, the house part up top is okay, and the hammock is undersized for a cat that is 8+ lbs. After a month or so, the part that supports the hammock leans worse and worse (maybe I will post a picture next time a cat is in there) and the cats' feet are always hanging off of it (EDIT: THIS PART BROKE AFTER 3 MONTHS OF USE, SEE BELOW). I'm not sure why, but it seems like many towers have these downfalls with size even though the average cat is between 7-12 lbs. I would rather have less features or pay more in order to have a few parts that actually can accommodate the size of my cats.Overall, it is definitely worth the money, is very stable, of high quality (except for the small size), easy to assemble, and does look really nice - as nice or better than what you see in this picture. Hopefully my review helps you decide.

All six cats seem to like, but as I said
We were almost through building this, and the screw to the last platform was stripped, or rather the hole it goes into. Instead of disassembling the entire thing,to send it back, we purchased some strip stop at the hardware which seems to be holding well. All six cats seem to like, but as I said, not impressed by construction.

Kitty loves kitty tree.
Great cat tree. Very sturdy. Cat loves it, scratches the right places, sleeps in the box.One thing to note, our cat doesn't care about the half circle thing. We store her toys in there, so it at least has a use.The only downside to this unit, is the hammock itself is quite small. We swapped out her old one, and replaced it. Much better.

Great product overall
Great product overall, except the hammock part broke as my kitty started gaining weight. I hope they sell the parts separately for replacement. My kitty really wants the hammock back.
