Chessex Figure Storage Boxes: Role Playing Games (RPGs) - Large Figure Storage Boxes - Very Large Figures - 40 Figure / Humanoid Capacity

This box is pretty tough. Metal figures might not survive if the box is stepped on in the middle. The latches are strong and will keep it closed if you drop it. I would have liked a handle on it but it wouldn't be too hard to drill some holes and stick a cheap handle on it. There is only one layer of foam but the holes (where the figures go) are deep. If you lay the figures on their sides and cut the foam blocks (that you have to remove to put figures in their slots) in half, you can put two figures in each slot. The slots are easy to make bigger to fit the larger figures (just cut the divider between two slots). I think that my metal figurines will be safe in this box but I wish it had a handle... Overall, it is sturdy, holds MANY miniatures, and does what it is supposed to.

I paint a few miniatures for some of my favorite board games that don’t require dozens of minis to paint - games like Runebound and Dungeonquest that only have a few heroes. Naturally, I needed a way to store them safely.These boxes are very durable and the foam inserts are easily adaptable to different size needs.

It does have 56 slots but only 2 of them are double sized, and by that I mean they can fit a tall regular 28mm figure if it were laying on its back or face. But not a wide one. They are 1 1/2" by 2 1/4". Just two of those. The rest of the slots are 1" x 1 1/2" and fit regular 28mm figures. In the 'big' slots you cannot fit a horseman like in this photo, that is a lie. There are also no larger slots like in the photo, you're going to have to cut out foam. I thought the case was going to be a lot larger and actually fit "very large figures" as the description says. Any figure large enough to take up several slots once you cut out the foam between them is going to be something that wont allow the case to close. This is really for just storing 56 small figures.

This box is perfect. I would even goes as far as to say it's one of the best of it type from Chessex. I have the smallest one and there is not much that fits in it. This one, although much larger, holds your miniatures perfectly and individually.

Bought this for my dad for fathers day! He just got sedition wars in the mail and was complying about his guys paint chipping. I looked on amazon for the best case and i'm glad I got this one! we are ordering 2 more some time because we need some more for the expatiations that are coming out! i can see how large guys could fit in here but i'm sure you could cut some foam to make it work :)

The quality is not as good as it used to be. The foam is less dense and hard to pluck cleanly.

These cases are great. They are hard sided, so they will keep your figures secure.

This box does what it's supposed to. It says in the description that it holds 40 large and that's not really true it can hold about 40 normal sized miniatures and probably 10 to 12 large, either or.
