Good at what it’s designed to do
Bought to convert the dGPU usb-c output from my laptop to my monitor. I’ve had no issues with the product itself, and consistently get a reliable 165Hz @1440p (native for monitor) out of it. It does get hot to the touch after a few hours of intense usage however.

Good for direct GPU USB-C
High quality and works well, used it for my valve index on my laptop that has a USB-C that was direct into my GPU and let me use my VR headset on it. (asus rog strix scar)

Works great at 1440p 144hz
I use this to output 1440p at 144hz to my monitor. It works great with not flickering or screen flashing. It’s compatible with DisplayPort and easy to use as it’s plug and play. It’s a very small device and feels like it’s made of quality materials.

Works fine, on some systems. Did not work on my MacBook Pro
I bought this for use with a gaming laptop. I have a 3440x1440@144hz display, and the HDMI 2.0 port on my laptop would not allow for the full 144hz refresh rate. So I bought this and it worked perfectly on my gaming laptop. (2021 Asus G513-ES96) The type-c port on my laptop is display port capable. I bought another one for my M1 Mac Mini and it also worked fine on the type-c port. However, for some reason it would not work on either of the two MacBook Pros that I have. Both are 2019 16" models with the radeon pro 5500m. When the adapter is connected to the MacBook Pro, the laptop screen will go black for a second and then come back on, but the external monitor does not register any input. The description for the product listing states that it works with MacBook Pro, but I was not able to get it to do so. Wasn't a big deal for me because I bought it for the gaming laptop and the M1 Mac mini.

Works w/ HP Reverb G2 on my ASUS G733x Laptop
Works with HP Reverb G2 on Windows 11 laptop (ASUS G733X plugged into the Thunderbolt Display Port) Perfect for my flight simulator needs. Make sure you install the Oasis driver on Steam when using this with Windows 11.

Works well for super ultrawide displays with a Macbook
I use a Macbook Air M4 and a Samsung CRG49 ultrawide monitor. Most USB C hubs can't support that display for less than a few hundred dollars, but this $20 adapter got me full support for the 5120x1440 display @ 120 HZ. No issues.

Does Not Work With Oculus Rift S
Upon receiving this, I had hope I’d be able to use this product with my Oculus Rift S on my laptop, which does not have any DisplayPort plug ins. I had one USB C port available on my laptop so I thought, while reading the description on the product, that it would work. Knowing it’d be compatible with my devices, I thought it’d be no problem, unfortunately, I was mistaken. When plugging in, I immediately found out it was incompatible and kept getting errors stating “Unknown USB Device”, “Port Reset Failed.” I didn’t understand why so I followed hundreds of steps online and figured maybe it was my drivers, even downloaded a driver booster, and had no luck. I’m certain my graphics drivers are updated I had even looked online for that too, yet nothing seemed to pop up and I was still stuck trying technique after technique to try to get this to work. Spending hours on hours of my time doing this, it turned out terrible, and I feel ultimately defeated. I had no clue how to get this to work with my VR. All in all, not such a great experience, I regret this.

I bought another adapter that didn't work for my Rift s / Scar 3. Returned it and got this and it works flawlessly! Feels very solid and I'm not worried about it breaking any time soon. It also works for the usb c port on my rtx 2080, so if you're looking at this for VR it's a safe bet. Just make sure your USB C port is: A) a DP out or thunderbolt B) connected to your gpu, not your cpu's graphics. Some laptops do this. I also noticed that it gets pretty warm when in use, but not warm enough to make me concerned about its lifespan.

Works as advertised. I use this for connecting one of my Display port monitors to my Dell Thunderbolt 4 docking station which allows me to easily dock my windows and MacBook Pro laptops seamlessly.

I purchased this product to use with my Oculus Rift S on my new gaming laptop (ASUS FX506IU) which has a USB-C port with DisplayPort 1.4 capabilities and it works great! The headset comes up as "Connected" much faster than it does on my PC and during gameplay I notice no difference whatsoever between my laptop and PC. From what I've seen this is one of the only adapters that seems to work for this headset, and for the price it seems like a pretty good deal! Highly reccomend for anyone in the same situation as me.

Just going back and reviewing products I've purchased. I've been using this daily for almost 3 years now and haven't run into any issues!
