I got tired of chipped stoneware and wanted a deeper bowl that could handle milk and cereal or soup or mixing ingredients without the spilling. These are perfect, light weight, dishwasher safe, pretty pastels and durable. Loved the first 4 so much that I ordered a second set. Planning on ordering plates also.UPDATE to my previous review: these bowls do crack, and I have no idea how it happened. We have no children in the house just 2 retired folks. I am so disappointed, I really thought I had found something good. I have reduced my rating to 2 stars. I included pics of the crack, I hope you can see it

COOL!!! My teens and I love these. It sounds silly to say but I like that they’re quiet — no crashing into other dishes in the sink/dish washer and when the kids eat cereal (every hour), spoons don’t clank against bowl. They stack tightly too—minimizes height of my tower of bowls in the cabinet.UPDATE 10/1/2019: After 6 weeks I don’t even see scratches - they look good. The pastel colors are kinda meh but whatever... doesn’t matter to me. Love.

I really like the size, colors and light weight nature of these bowls. They stay pretty cool < 2 minutes in the microwave. Like how they are eco friendly. BUT family member ate spaghetti out of it and now the tomato sauce stains won't come out of the brand new bowl! That's why it's 4 stars. As long as you stick to oatmeal, cereal, soup that is NOT tomato based you'll be fine.

I bought these hoping that they could withstand microwaving without getting piping hot, but unfortunately just tried the left over pad thai test and could not hold the bowl as I ate (which is ideal for couch dinners watching a show) They do cool off much faster than my ceramic bowls, and the top part that didn't stay in constant contact with the food was not too hot, but overall it doesn't really fix my problem. I care about sustainability and these seem to address some concerns there as well as not leaking microplastics into my food. They will make for great outdoor eating or letting my daughter have since they are light and unbreakable.

This is a great bowl. No fear about it breaking, so we use it when eating inside/outside. Stacks nicely with our other bowls, mostly because the bottom isn't two squared off.No issues with the construction of the bowl in regards to the microwave, but two of them seemed to have gotten stained, I believe while microwaving with pasta and marinara sauce. So, there is a reddish/orange stain over the bottom half of the bowl. The bowl is clean, just stained, so it doesn't bother me, but I might second-guess putting that bowl out for a guest.

These bowls have a very weird smell, even after washing by hand several times and running through the dishwasher 3 times on normal wash. I would never put food in them. Should have sent them back, but instead they went in the recycle bin. Just terrible. I would never buy any of these weird wheat straw things again. Garbage!

We love these bowls! For salads they are perfect --- an average size salad fits in with room to spare so that you are not losing your lettuce over the side! For soup, these are great --- fill a little more than half-way up for a typical bowl of soup, and you avoid spills. We've washed them in both the top and bottom racks of our dishwasher and they seem to do fine. Our only complaint --- they are billed as microwave safe, so we heat up our soup directly in the bowl; however, when the soup is finely hot enough, the bowl itself is so hot that we have to use potholders to remove it from the microwave (which is why we rated the bowls 4 stars, instead of 5).

Liked: Light, very durable(haven't broke one yet); Disliked: dulled finish after awhile

When I got them in the post, I tried dropping one from a height of about 1.5m onto a hard tile floor. It bounced straight off and was perfectly fine.They seem to be made from some sort of plastic, but the texture is nice to the touch.I also like the pastille colours.
