Tedious
Although I am immensely impressed by the writing ability of 19-year-old Mary Shelley, the dated language and repetitive dialogue left me wishing for the novel to end. I must also admit to being unaware that the creature in Shelley's novel became such a cunning linguist, a far cry from the Hollywood character who was basically a mute. I can see why the book was popular waaaaay back then. It would be a flop today.
