Compatible with original wired smoke alarm system
These are comparable with the original smoke alarms in our home. My husband had to install them because the plugs mo longer fit with the 20 year old original model. But they work in our smoke alarm wired system and all go off in sync when tested. We have a couple we installed about 5 or 6 years ago of the same model and they still work just fine

GOOD BUY
I needed a big ladder because we have 10' ceilings but oyherwise they were easy to install. The battery cover is an improvement over the ones on our old Kidde smoke detectors.

Great replacement
I replaced a 20yo smoke detector with this one. Other than having to cut the connector off and use the old one to fit into my system, it was pretty much plug and play. I've had no false alarms or battery problems since changing it out. Great deal!

Big price increase
Very good. We installed it. Purchased same one in Oct 2024 and was $23.00. Price was increased by $10 to 33.00 in 6 months!
