TOT TALKSeasons Placemat

I am a Special Education teacher and a grandmother. One of my granddaughters are mesmerized by dinosaurs. Previously, I had ordered the world and the United State place mats. Sweet Pea #2 was thrilled when we laid out the dinosaur place mat, used dry erase markers and identified which dinosaurs were carnivore and herbivores. We proceeded to highlight the place of origin of each dinosaur by continent, country and state. She was delighted to realize how many dinosaurs were found in her home state. This entire series of place mats are engaging for all of my Sweet Peas. They range in age from eight years to 18 months. We use them at home and I use them in the classroom with immense success. These placemats are definitely an educational resource and were created by an educator.I had to giggle when some of the reviewers commented on the price of the mats. As an educator, I thought they were reasonably priced. Purchasing these same resources from an educational store or website would be at least 20% higher than what is listed on Amazon. As an educator, I require tools to broaden a child's knowledge base and school budgets only cover the bare essentials. One or two of these would be a fabulous gift for Teacher Appreciation Day.

The placemats are amazing - I have purchased the dinosaurs, the US map, and the alphabet versions for my 2 year old grandson and they are a game changer during meals. He LOVES to look at and talk about the detailed pictures on each placemat and gets so excited when he sees a new one at the table. Very entertaining, very educational, wipe clean easily - great product. I will purchase many more!

This placemat is perfect for my 4y/o granddaughter. She actually has learned about the table and loves eating at the table with this mat. She doesn't eat a meal without it. It's been a wonderful learning tool. We love that it's dry erase and has a little worksheet on the back. My granddaughter might only be 4 but this has sparked a love of chemistry for her.

Love these placemats. We have several from Tot Talk and I plan to get a few more as my children get older (like presidents, maps, etc). They keep my girls at the table longer and get their imaginations going. They also help to teach new words. Easy to clean, too! Highly recommended.

I feel that the placemat needs to be bigger. I will tell you why later. The colors were okay except for the metalloids, metals, and non-metals. They needed to be differently color coded. I would also have liked a picture explanation for each element in the boxes. Those are the things I would work on if I were the manufacture. Everything else I would keep it's a great and informative placemat!

My 3 year old son loves Dinosaurs, especially "Rexy." I really like the fun, cute images on the Crocodile Creek placemat collection, but they are just not durable.This placemat is fun to look at (he is still a little young for the reading/activity aspect), the colors are vibrant and the images keep him entertained. He feels special because his sister has a different placemat. The thing I like most about this product is that it is actually practical. The nice laminate layer is really a must in my opinion. It prevents the image from slowly wiping away and is super easy to clean. Here, you get the best of both worlds, cute and practical:)

I love the details of this, though I do wish it was "grippy" on the back, like some other mats, as it tends to slide around, but then you'd lose the double sided aspect. Either way, my weather-fascinated 3 y/o loves following the drops all around the mat.

Love this placement. My 5 year old son has learned all the dinosaur name on this mat and loves eating his meals on it. It wipes clean easily and is reversible so he has a choice which side he wants. Great product.

The coloured groupings are helpful, but the mat was a bit creased upon arrival.

This periodic table is cute and very easy to remember every element because of the picture beside the symbol.
