Wire stripper to definitely get.
This is a quality product for cutting wire and things similar. It works very nicely. It is very short and handles very well. It is completely safe and can be stored anywhere.

Sweet idea and deal
Love this idea and so easy to use. Wish it would have been out years ago when I was working heavier in the field

A Cool and Compact Tool
I really like this little tool. The reason I've only given it four stars is that I feel I have to save the instructions and carry them with it because the use of all the functions it performs isn't intuitive for me and they just aren't sticking in my brain like most tools' use does. Just a little too tricky for its own good. Maybe if I used it for a big wiring project they would stick. I was a little surprised by its light weight, but so far it has held up well. I was just expecting it to be a little stouter a build. I definitely feel I got my money's worth.

With Careful Use it can be helpful.
I found this difficult to use. However a friend helping me wire my basement lights did find it useful. One has to be careful when pushing the wire through to cut the sheathing on the electrical cable. It can easily push into your hand if not held correctly, and then can also get held up by the paper around the ground cable. My friend found this very useful, but he was also careful to not push it into his hand. Note that one cuts the sheathing going into the cable not pulling away. I don't like that it puts a little indent into the wire when stripping the wire for a connection not a big deal just not something I like. I will put it back in the box and give it to Restore to sell since I don't need it anymore. Reasonably priced and was helpful that is why 3 stars

Better Romex insulation removers are available.
Hard to use and often ineffective. Buy the special pliers that score Romex insulation and allows you to pull it off quickly and easily.

Works very well on cutting sheathing on 14-2 Romax. Clipping blade is fair. Stripping blade can be used in a pinch. Twist function works well Looper works very well. Guage marking handy feature. See my You Tube review "Ideal Lil' Ripper Stripper".

I was sick to death of using a Stanley knife to remove outer sheaths from cables, the slightest slip and an inner sheath was cut and the jobs a bad'un. I brought the Lil Ripper and it is superb. Only small but wan't you can't see is a small curved hook / blade inside the tube. Simply cut your wire to length (Iv'e only used it on 2.5mm twin and earth fyi) and slide the ripper along the cable. The inner hook / blade cuts through the outer sheath with no damage to the inner wires, I then fold the split sheath back and snip it off with pliers. Even if you slip you cant hurt yourself due the hidden nature of the blade. A friend who saw me use it (who is an electrician, hello Simon if your reading this) was so excited about it I bought him one as a present. It also strips single wires in the "V" you can see etc but for me the it's worth the money just for the outer sheath removing capabilities. With my skill it will pay for itself in one small wiring job due to less waste.
