Diplomat Burl Wood Eight Watch Winder with Off-White Leather Interior and 4 Program Settings #31-419

I have a number of high end watches that I like to keep running, and I thought this Diplomat Burl Wood Eight Watch Winder would do the trick. Unfortunately, while the unit looks good and appears to be well constructed, the drive system doesn't work very well. Within weeks the spinner I used for my Panerai and Orris watches stopped spinning unless I kick start it with a gentle nudge. Initially, all spinners would start and stop together. Now, one set starts then the other some time later. Finally, the unit used to be reasonably quiet. Now one pair of spinners is making a strange sound while spinning. Rather than go through the hassle of shipping and repair and possibly more problems later on, I will just go out and find a high end model that I can trust.

I got two items like this and both failed within days of operation. The internal mechanism and its sturdiness is absolutely hopeless. The exterior finish and interiors are good but the quality and build of the mechanism is very bad. The revolving fixtures actually sag on day 2 and start brushing against the bottom plate. On day 3 they have almost completely stopped working and even come off.A fine idea completely laid to rest by shoddy internal quality. A great disappointment.

I selected the winder both by price and capabilities of 8 watches. Received the winder incomplete, no powerSource so I couldn't tell you if I liked the way it worked. The box was damaged, scratched, and broken hinge.Was not very happy

The item turned out to be much bigger than it shows. In addition the manufacturer/retailer faild to ship the charger with it.

I had bought this winder to have as a back-up in the event my original one broke (or I got more watches1)., I put the winder in service 2 weeks ago, and the left hand motor has stopped working, exactly the same way the one I replaced it with did!

The watch holders that are in the watch winders were all stuck in the slots they were placed in. Upon trying to remove them to actually use them, the leather tore and peeled right off of the watch holder pieces and the slot linings. I immediately processed an RMA and received a replacement unit. The replacement unit had the exact same problem. I returned them both.

Very disappointed. This is the second Diplomat watch winder I've purchased and the most expensive. The appearance and finish looks great. However, the quality is terrible. It didn't last 30 days before one of the winders stopped working. I will never purchase anything else from this brand. Oh, the first one lasted longer than 30 days but eventually stopped working also.

It died & stop turning less than a year. Perfect aesthetics but faulty/failure mechanics. Wasted my money big time.

Amazon should require seller to provide pictures of the actual size of their products in relation to other daily use items !!This winder is uselessly HUGE and impossible to use ...Got it returned in a jiffy for reimbursement..

purchased in November 2015. By September 2017 one of the motors stopped working entirely, so now I'm down to a six-watch winder. I would have hoped that the full package would last longer than 22 months.

Although the outside of the box was fine, the inside was dissappointing. The watch holders which are made of plastic, all stuck together and difficult to take out of the holder. They where almost welded together and needed sharp knife to separate. One done that, a thin layer of plastc tore off and they all did that. You can still use but all of them once they go back to holders, are still sticking. Looks to me as if the box have been around for a long time in a hot place.
