Anthem Athletics Defiance Kickboxing Short MMA Shorts - Muay Thai, BJJ, WOD, Cross-Training, OCR

I chose these shorts due to price and reviews. I train nogi BJJ but was still wearing the gi pants, wanted to try out a pair of spats and shorts to see if I liked them better as I'm training more days a week now and don't want to do laundry every night. (More gear) I tried them on when they first showed up, typically I am a size 32 waist, they fit well but in order to get the top velcro to line up I had to suck it in a bit. Could be due to wearing training undershorts, spats and my top shorts, idk. Was a little worried at first doing high knees because the fabric was getting caught before sliding up my thigh, this was quickly dismissed on the mats because I had no problem while rolling. I didn't have any complaints from my partners about anything bothering them nor myself. I liked them well enough I chose to purchase a 2nd set because I hit the mats at least 3x a week, however noticing they even had a size 33, I went with that. If you're unsure and don't want to spend $60-80 to find out you don't like training in MMA shorts, these are a good alternative!

I was happily surprised by these shorts! I practice no gi Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and it's always hard for me to find fight shorts to wear over my spats. I am 5'1" and 122 pounds, so the shorts I find usually fit a little loose around the waist and are very long in the leg. These Anthem Defiance shorts fit perfectly around my waist and the length is amazing, without feeling too short. The material is fantastic and moves well! I can't wait to add more of your shorts to my workout wardrobe!

These shorts are good for the price. The only reason I'm giving them 4 stars is because they're a little short for my taste and the crotch area sort of sticks out and can get in the way. So if you want the best pair you can buy, you can probably do better. But if you just want a pair that will get the job done, this will do just fine and save you some money.

fabric is light and comfy, but shorts fit baggy (unlike photo) and the velcro is very stiff and uncomfortable. It's a large area in front. When I first opened the package I thought there was a cardboard stiffener in the front for some reason. I discovered it's just the velcro. Seems unnecessary to have so much velcro in there. Makes any trunk flexion move (situps, etc.) uncomfortable with this bulk in the way. For sports where you are vertical the whole time they are probably fine. Just not very comfortable to me with this design. Active shorts should be able to move without this hindrance.

Okay, I order two pairs of these shorts to workout in (weights and muay thai). Nice fit, and roomy in the leg area so they're perfect for squatting, deadlifting, and kicks. No complaints and the delivery was punctual. If they come out with some that have different designs and branding on them, I'll order some more without a doubt.

Awesome shorts! High cut for kicks and knees, but also great for jiu jitsu. Highly recommend, I have several shorts from anthem and they are all fantastic shorts. Order your normal size training shorts, the draw strong will help if a little large. I’m 6’2 190lbs and wear a 35, fit perfect

I understand these are supposed to be loose for mobility but they are huge! Great material but really disappointed in the fitting. I could have gone down two sizes.
