Great quality
The quality of this fire blanket appears to be excellent. I love that it is quite easy remove from the case and the case is designed to be hung. You can place the case in places within easy reach of fire prone locations. Because the blanket is reasonably priced, we have one hanging on the inside of our pantry door and another in the laundry closet. I have also bought ones for my son’s two families for their kitchen and laundry areas for gifts. I’m glad it haven’t needed to use it, but assume that it would do its job if necessary. When it first arrived, there was an off-gassing odor. I placed it on our covered porch and within a day, the odor was gone.

Perfect for extra protection
Bought these as gifts for Christmas. Has not had to use thankfully but directions seems very easy! Easy to store and quality is nice that it doesn’t seem like it will wear away being store and hopefully never used! Lightweight and slim to store under sinks.

These work!
We have used one of these fire blankets in our kitchen and it likely saved our home or ourselves from injury. It was effective and the best option in the moment and I’m so glad we had one ready to use. Not all pots and pans have lids and sometimes lids are not stored in quickly accessible places or you can’t find it in time. Maybe don’t rely on fire blankets for complete fire safety, but it can’t hurt to have one in addition to smoke alarm and fire extinguishers- and know how and when to use it. We had ours for only 6 months before we had to use it! Never in 20 years did we ever have a pan go up in flames (or any fire of any kind for that matter) until that day. A guest was not thinking clearly and used our gas stove to heat up rubbing alcohol for cleaning - not all kitchen fires are grease! Weird things can happen you’d never expect. Luckily we had a fire blanket for the kitchen. To us, it was one of the best purchases we ever made. We always keep one near the kitchen now.

Confidence it'll work if needed
I like the size and ability to hang on the back of the pantry door. The fifth star has to be earned in an emergency. Hope I never have the occasion!

Worth many times the price
I purchased these over a year ago, and tonight they prevented what could have quickly become a much worse situation. My range is probably original to my apartment (1950s), so the labels on the burner knobs have long since worn away, and their placement is not the clearest-- I usually have to specifically think about which one controls which burner. This evening I'd put on a pot of water to boil and briefly turned away before discovering I'd turned on the wrong one and flames were now licking up the bottom of a thick plastic container that had been sitting on the other side of the range. With a coil electric range, turning off the burner doesn't mean it's immediately cool, and the plastic melted onto it meant continued fuel-- I'd thrown the plastic container into the sink under the tap, but the flames on the burner were already licking as high as the range hood. I actually did have a container of salt and a large container of baking soda close at hand, but in the moment didn't have to think about what was the best option or register that they were readily available-- I just grabbed one of these blankets off the top of my fridge, within arm's reach, and it effectively smothered the fire. Yes there are multiple ways to extinguish a small fire, but a big value of these is not having to think about or locate other options in an emergency-- a fire blanket is for one thing and can be left in the same location, ready to put to use immediately.

This is a smart product to keep handy
Safety first and foremost. I have one in my kitchen, one with my outside grill, and I’ve bought some for my son’s homes as well.

A must for protecting you and your property
Kitchen fires are common and usually start small, like in a frying pan. But nearby combustibles like dishtowels, cabinets, or even a greasy exhaust hood can quickly turn a small fire into something with the potential to cause a lot of damage or great bodily harm. Oil and grease fires just flare up if water is used on them and fire extinguishers have to be of the correct type, charged, and directed properly to control a fire. Fiberglasss fire blankets are an inexpensive, easy-to-use and reuse, and very effective way to put out small fires. This blanket measures about 39”x39”, which is a good size to keep in the kitchen or garage. It comes in a bright red nylon pouch with pull tabs to quickly remove and deploy the fire blanket. I like that the front side of the nylon pouch has a 3-step set of instructions on it, which is better than some other brands of these types of blankets where the instructions are printed on the back of the pouch. At any rate, I’ve asked everyone in my house to become familiar with the location of the fire blankets in my home and how to use them. The pouch has a metal grommet to use as a hanger and I hang one inside one of my kitchen cabinet doors about 3 paces away from the stove. The blanket, as mentioned previously, is made of fiberglass. Rubbing my fingers over the blanket, I do see that a very small amount of fiber particles can come off onto your hand, but it’s not much. And that was with me intentionally rubbing the material with my fingers, which you wouldn’t do to use it on a fire. Some of the fire blankets for sale come with gloves to protect your hands from fibers and I’d say skip it: I think the time it takes to put on gloves gives a small fire a chance to flare up into something too big for a fire blanket, so getting the blanket onto the fire quickly should be the priority. I’ve purchased three of these types of blankets from different sellers and they all seem to be similar in construction and quality so, here on Amazon, find one with the best price and you’re likely to be fine. This blanket is a good one to buy and the price was right at the time I ordered it. Whichever brand you choose, a fire blanket should be part of every home’s or office’s safety gear.

Blankets did their Job in a fire
I bought these to replace two others I used last month in a kitchen fire. During a power outage, a gas burner which I had used before went on fire. I threw the two DIBBATU blankets on the fire. At first it didn't seem to make a difference, the last thing I saw before fleeing the house were flames several feet high midway up the cabinets and smoke everywhere. But by the time the fire engines arrived (within 7 mins) the flames were out. There was some damage to the kitchen, but not extensive. Had I not had these, I would be looking at a major restoration . We would have had to move out, and our insurance doesn't cover accommodation. I'm not associated with Dibbatu or with Amazon in any way! I put this review up to urge people to get either these or another brand of fire blanket or a fire extinguisher - but for the sake of the price of two lattes don't leave yourselves unprotected. This is the most value for money you'll ever get if you have a fire. It'll work on the flames while you get the family out. Fire takes so fast.
