I was tired of people coming to the door and peering through my plain glass sidelight to see inside my house. I felt like I was living in a bubble. I thought about having an etched glass product to be installed, but it was pricey. I tried a product similar to this one and, although it gave me the privacy I desired, it ended up looking more like an ugly thick shower curtain was stuck to the window and filtered out most of the light. The outside of the window looked like a blotchy opaque mess. I decided to try this product As I liked the frosted lattice look and I read on other reviews that even the cross hatching of the pattern was not see through. My posted picture of the inside look of the new product appears dark, but I think it is because there is so much light coming through the sidelight now. The picture I posted of the outside shows the pattern appears on both sides of the glass. I did not buy the application kit as a quick on-line search showed a small amount of baby shampoo mixed with a lot of water in a spray bottle would suffice. Since my sidelight is narrow, I used a credit card instead of a squeegee to push the fluid & bubbles out. The only thing you need to consider with this pattern is that you might want to put one diamond in the center of the sidelight for aesthetic reasons.

Converted a laundry room into a bathroom and kept the existing non-privacy window. Had planned on replacing the window pane with frosted glass when I came across this product online. Bought it and installed it easily and it looks and works great. Way cheaper and easier than replacing the pane.Pros: Cheap and easy. Took less than 30 minutes to do and really can't be messed up. I'm a home re-modeler so am picky and for the price and effort this was a great purchase.Cons: Wasn't aware the "special" solution needed to install the film was sold separately as a kit with a knife and also a plastic wedge for removing bubbles. Got online and discovered a similar solution can be made simply by mixing some baby shampoo with water in a spray bottle - which is what we did. Any sharp knife will work to trim the edges and for the bubbles we just used a credit card.

New house. Gorgeous 26 foot long hallway with a door that invites a visitor to peer in and catch you at your most vulnerable. Not good when your only escape is to dash across their visual field of view to find something appropriate to wear. This lattice style window film was the perfect answer. Obstructs the view without looking like a kindergarten art project. Rest assured the veins between the frosted parts are useless for even the best of neighborhood voyeurs. The only way anyone will see down my hallway is if they’re over 7’ tall.

Love the outcome on my island cabinet doors! Easiest thing I did after painting our kitchen cabinets. Was just he perfect finishing touch and so simple to install!!I didn't get the installation kit either, just used a little dish soap and water in a spray bottle to spray on product and a shower squeegee that I already had. I'm sure you could use a credit card or even a piece of stiff cardboard. Directions include how to make your own solotion. I'm looking around my home for other glass to upgrade I love it so much!!

Put up only 1 side to test it and something did not feel right. I’m pretty good at following directions...but the film part should warn you that is hard to spot! Once you do the tape on both side it was easy to remove. I bought the installation kit that it recommended by the manufacturer and it all worked as instructed. We are in love with the upgrade, I feel that our door looks fancier. Even my husband said that it feels like we bought a new door! Highly recommend!!!

I have a livingroom window with a terrible view. This product was a great solution. It still let's in the light, but takes all the ugly away. It looks better in person. It really elevates the look of the room. It was super easy to install and didn't take long at all. You do need a spray bottle (water with a little baby shampoo), a scraper or squeegee, and a razor blade.

So easy to install, looks great, and does the job! I wasn’t sure if the pattern would look too “busy” with our modern style bathroom - I like simplicity. But it gave just the right touch of classic interest - like a Tudor-style window - that it was the perfect finishing touch.

This was such a great purchase for the price and came out looking amazing! Before purchasing I was curious to know if you could see through the lines between the diamond shapes. A previous Amazon review for this product confirmed you couldn't and I'm happy to agree. I would absolutely recommend the squeegee/spray kit sold separately from the same manufacturer as it has everything you need for easy installation.

We have a 130 year old home with 2 front doors. The door we don't use always had the blinds pulled down for privacy. But I wanted more light, so this film is the perfect solution for letting more light in while maintaining privacy. Since this is a fairly large window it did take 2 ppl — one person to hold the film while the other sprays it and positions it. Other than that it’s very easy to install and cut - just read the instructions and make sure you wet everything down as indicated. We used a spray bottle filled with water and a squirt of dish soap, plus a little squeegee I had from another project, and an exacto knife.

The product was much smaller than advertised. It was obviously a product that was used, cut, and returned by a previous customer. I have asked for a replacement item...hopefully I get a new product this time around.
