Simple, Sturdy, Effective
Was looking for a 2 source in, single output switch specifically for my off-grid cabin. I have a solar generator that works well for 3 or 4 days. The camp is pretty far up north so Solar recharging is not always happening, so if I want to stay for longer periods of time, I can switch my circuit panel input from Solar to Generator with this switch. I did contact customer support for a diagram on how to configure for two inputs one output. It is heavy duty, rated higher than I needed, and solves my problem.

Does the job, RV 100V Shore/Inverter Selector Boondocking Switch, does require half a brain.
Be sure to buy the model for your job. 8 Terminals means switched 2-Wire, switched Positive-Neutral 110v. and used a separate common Ground bus. (Grid/OFF/INVERTER) I wired it for 2 power sources in/ 1 out. Used for switching RV Shore power to Inverter power. Switched two circuits of 5. Inverter on/off button and switch mounted right next to each other. 1500 watt sine wave inverter provides power to everything but AC and Frig(ac/dc/propane) and battery charger. Don't do this unless you are an Electrician or know a good one. -----In process of doing this in the House too, to switch a new 30 amp Sub-Panel Breaker box from Grid to Inverter. 30-amp box will feed lights, tv, internet, frig, microwave, coffee maker etc. Inverter is out in the shed next to solar panels/ batteries and generator.

Bought this to use on Auto battery charger!
Switch is 32 Amp! Charger is about the same on high charge! Will require some rewiring to match to switch capability but will wind up with Low 6 volt charge , Low 12 volt. charge and 12 volt Start boost charge! Will add more when I have completed the installation. one additional tidbit I did not mention is, the technical specs for this switch, the contacts that close in Pos 1 and 2 are actually reversed. interchange 1 with 2 in the chart and that is how the contacts close in that position.

This is not rated for 32 amps AC. Has melted down for others
Why did you pick this product vs others?: The seller needs to properly title this switch. After I ordered it, and thankfully before I installed it, a friend told me they installed one and it melted. It was in an RV with a 30 amp service. I ordered it because it says it’s good for 32amps The label says it has a 14 amp limit on AC. See pic. Sending it back.

I have used this switch to jump between shore power (120 v 30 amp) to my solar / inverter system. It works great.
