It's one of the best series out on the market today for young people. Don't be mislead by the dark or mysterious cover the series is intriguing and really has some meat to the story. My daughter started the series when it first came out and she was a preteen. Know into her teens every year she gets the new book in the series and devours it in a few days if not hours then has waited for a year when the next book to comes out. This one was no different. The first day she got the book she read 12 chapters. If you looking for something different it's much better than Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, or James Dashner Series books, yet if your kids like those books they will surely love this series. Especially now that several books are out and you don't have to wait a whole year for the next one in the series! Review: Richard Paul Evans continues his award winning Michael Vey series with "Fall of Hades" - I haven't read this one yet, number 6 in the series of 7, because I've saved reading this series during times I am in waiting rooms for doctors (you'll be surprised how fast time flies when reading this series), etc, but I'd give every one in the series 5 stars for being well written, great drama, suspense, well developed plots, several scenarios developing at the same time, but not distracting from each other, etc . . . I loved the whole concept of the "Electroclan", each member having complimentary, special skills . . . I won't say anything more 'cause I don't want to spoil this series for anyone . . . just start with the first one in the series, "MIchael Vey: The Prisoner of Cell 25", written 5 years ago this month . . . the series is now available in paper-back and hard cover, but I prefer the portability of e-books . . . I'd recommend this series for teens (for some, even younger) through octogenarians (of which I am one) . . . :) :) :)

I can't wait for book 7!
I preordered this book because I was flying abroad on the day that it reached the shelf in Kindle form. at the airports that I passed through I kept checking for the book to come in.... 24 hours later - what a ride! For some unknown reason I was under the impression that this was the last book in the series, all of which I have eagerly waited for. NOW Mr. Evans what have you done to me? November 2017? Ithink I will die of impatience! Seriously, this is even better written than than the last one. PME keeps up the tension till it is bouncing off the computer screen. I collected the books and read 3,4, 5 one after the other knowing that after I finished 5 I would only have a month to wait for 6. I am aware that these book are for young adults but 20 years ago when Paul Michael Evans was still on the shelf in our bookshops and I did not read electronic I became a fan of his books. I suspect that I am his only reader in Israel (my home). I used to order books (I have them all) and now read them on Kindle but that does not detract from my enjoyment and excitement when reading this very highly recommended continuation of one of the best adventure series available, for any age - I am nearly 70.

Slow beginning, but AWESOME climax!
As a fan of the series, this was probably the slowest book, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. the first two thirds of the novel are mostly just building up to the climax and just kind of meanders from time to time, but once you get to the climax it's an outstanding roller coast of awesome! I mean it, this has the best climax of the series, along with one of the most satisfying come-up-ins in the series. I won't give it away, but I promise it will put a smile on every fan's face. My gripe is the cliffhanger at the end. It's driving me nuts! I can't wait for the final installment! Dang you, Richard Paul Evans! You always leave me wanting more!

A Good Read but . . .
If you are a Michael Vey Fan, & I am, you will be pleased. EXCEPT, you will notice a noticeable lack of humour seen in the prior books. AND it seemed too quick a read. My husband said it was predictable but I pooh-poohed him. I liked it anyway. It shows some character development but the timeline is short and pretty fast -paced. The abrupt ending was expected, as all books need a cliffhanger. Of course I will be reading the next book but I really hope Evans puts more of the first book humour & quirkiness back into his writing for the last.

The book is an easy read, as well as interesting as they face ...
Teen fiction with an interesting twist. Most of the kids in the group (The Electro Clam) have one or more extra power based on electricity. One can feel another's emotions, if touching the person; one can shock a person or small group; a third can see electricity through walls. The book is an easy read, as well as interesting as they face difficult challenges on their path to finding out how they became electric to begin with. There will be 7 total books, and I have looked forward to them coming out each year. The next book will be the last, and I can't wait to see how Evens explains how the children became electric in the first place..

I just wish that Vey stays alive and has learned this new trick of getting himself evaporated .The books is very impressive and best of all as Taylor and Michael break up also but they get along after 1 chapter .
