PlatSil SiliGlass is a platinum-cured silicone designed for making super-clear, glass-like rubber castings for special effects and prop applications. SiliGlass is designed to act and look like broken glass when hit. Since the broken glass-like shards are made of a safe silicone rubber, there is no danger to an actor or actress during its use. Notes: As curing progresses, SiliGlass becomes harder and more brittle and the likelihood of breaking increases. Demold SiliGlass within one-half to one hour after mixing to prevent crumbling upon demolding. Contamination from sulfur (e.g., sulfur-based clay), amines, tin compounds, cured polyester resin, some paints and some silicone rubbers may inhibit surface cure of platinum-cured rubbers.
