Dritz 80-4-1 Sew-On Snaps, Black, Size 4 4-Count

Nice and strong snaps. I got them to use on a winter coat that doesn't have any closures. Had someone more talented than me sew them on. Did the trick!

These are high-quality snaps. They're size 3, so they're fairly large. (At least, they seem quite large to me, since I'm used to working with doll-sized snaps!) Perfect for fastening a book cover, tote bag, purse, coat, jacket---anything that requires a large, sturdy snap. I bought them to use with crocheted neck-warmers, so they would wrap around the neck and stay in place without shifting, or having buttons pop loose. The snaps work quite well for that purpose. These happen to be black snaps, so they're good for use with dark fabrics or materials, especially if you don't want the snaps to be visible. The crocheted neck-warmer I made is dark teal, and I was afraid silver snaps would be too visible, so I opted for black. You get a pack of four snaps, with two halves each (male and female). They're sew-on snaps, which means you'll need a large needle and thread. I recommend using waxed thread, as there's less chance it'll break, or knot and snarl, while you're sewing. (To wax it, pull the thread through a cake of beeswax several times, until it feels a bit like dental floss. Fold the thread into a scrap of muslin and press with a warm iron. This melts the wax, fusing it with the thread.) Be sure to use thread that matches your fabric closely, so it won't be too visible. Very nice product! They don't pop open easily, even under strain. Indeed, it takes some effort to unsnap them. Highly recommend for anyone who needs a sturdy closure for clothing, home decor items, purses or totes, etc.

These worked perfectly for my big open purse, I used them to snap up the sides and make it a better shape and less of a grocery bag shape. They are sturdy and invisible though large enough to snap and unsnap even with cold hands. Very nice and good price too. Thanks!

Excellent snaps in size and quality, and they're easy to sew on. I purchased them to use as fasteners on adult bibs when the velcro on them wasn't effective anymore. These were perfect in every aspect, especially in that they stayed securely fastened during meals. The only hesitation is that the price fluctuates too high at times, i.e., $12 is far too much for 4 snaps, but $5-6 is more reasonable. So I advise that it's worth your patience to wait & watch. I give 4 stars if high price, 5 stars for a low end price.

These are very firm "snaps." They click together very tightly, and they're made of nice, solid, coated metal. It took me forever to find exact sizes on these, because dimensions on the web were all over the place. I don't know that Dritz has a consistent sizing thing. For what it's worth, these "size 4" snaps are approximately 15mm in diameter (or about .625 inches). For what it's worth, I searched high and low to find as close of a match as I could to an Apt 9 jacket I have, and these are what I ended up discovering. The only downside is the limited color scheme. They match so closely in design to the Apt 9 ones, that I'm half-convinced they're all from the same manufacturer. However, these ones only come in three color offerings, and I couldn't find an exact "smoky grey" style. I settled for black.

The product is fine but only came with 8 of the 10 snaps included.

These are high quality snaps. I purchased the Heat Factory Fleece-Lined Ragg Wool Gloves with Fold Back for fingers and thumb but the Velcro that held the folds back would come loose from the wool on the two pairs I've bought and are not repairable. I really like the gloves themselves, so I sowed on these snaps with heavy thread and it works like a charm.

This product came with 2 snaps missing. No word from the seller or discount offered. Very weird

The snaps I ordered for my coat arrived quickly and were exactly what I wanted.
