Great Boot - See Comment
Overall-- Great Boot. This will be a detailed review, because I thought many other reviews were absolutely useless and unhelpful. I am a male, and had contacted the seller prior to ordering, because the title said "Women's Boot" (I understand this is a unisex boot) and I couldn't find healthy answers in the comments/questions sections. I ordered the size "12-12.5" in Gaucho Crazy Horse Brown. The seller informed me that this was indeed listed in MEN'S USA sizes, not women's sizes, so I purchased. Most of my shoe sizes are 12's, because a 12.5 almost doesn't exist. However, in many cases I wear 13 as well. The "12-12.5" listing is perfect, so order your baseline normal male size. The boot is roomy in the toe box, not tight fitting, which is how boots are supposed to fit. The Crazy Horse Leather is beautiful, although much darker than the pictures. I would easily classify this boot as a dark brown boot. For those unaware in the comments section, Crazy Horse Leather is a top of the line, full-grain oil/wax finished leather. This leather will easily scruff and scratch, and over time will develop a distressed look with a beautiful patina. If you don't want any scratches on your boots, don't get the crazy horse leather, unless you are fine buffing them out all the time. However, when they distress, a lighter copper color will emerge, creating an almost two-tone effect. This leather is exceptionally tough, and requires only minimal care with minimal wax. These boots also have a Good-Year Welt, creating an exceptionally durable, hard wearing boot. This welt is found on premium boots, eliminating the need for cheap gluing. This is my first pair of the "Chelsea" boot style, as I had previous only bought Lace-Ups, so the only thing I'm concerned about is the elastic on the sides, but time will tell (although my jeans always cover the elastic on sides anyways, I'm not a roll-up jean guy). For those saying the top of the boot is too narrow to get your foot in: you don't put these on like normal shoes. Angle your foot parallel as you enter, then twist the boot on straight. SUPER EASY. It takes two second to put these Chelsea's on rather than untying and tying lace-ups. As far as break-in, these are pretty much good to go out of the box. I'm getting a little stiffness on the very top of the uppers at my shin, but after a couple days of wear this will disappear. When wearing high socks it is barely noticeable now anyways. These are not dainty, thin & dressy boots. They are more for everyday wear, built wider and more rugged. I recommend.

Good boots
This is a great boot. So far, it is quite comfortable and I like the look. I where a US 12 2e if I can find them, but this size is not available in these boots or any others. I ordered the 12, and they fit perfectly the first time I wore them, but after a few wearings, they stretched out a bit. They’re a lil big now, but I wear two socks and they are fine. I don’t think I would have fit into an 11, so I’ll stick with these.

These boot run small not big!
A lot of reviews said the boots ran big and so you should order a size smaller than usual. I wear an 11.5 men's and so based on these reviews I ordered a size 11 men's. It took me about 10 minutes to get one of the boots on and then my toes were all scrunched up once I got it on. There is no way these boots can be considered over sized! no way! They run SMALL! My advice to anyone buying these is get your normal size. If your feet are a half size, then order the next size up! Also, I found out that these boots are not refundable. I spoke with Amazon and they were gracious enough to refund me in spite of the non-refundable status of this order. But for heavens sake, at $144 per pair do not be duped by these other reviews! Buy your size and not a smaller one!

Soles tore after only 7 months
This is my second pair of Doc Martens that have had this issue. This time, the sole split long-ways at the arch. The previous time, they split on the bottom under the pad of my foot. It appears to be a defect in the workmanship, which isn't surprising considering that these are made where they pay the absolute lowest cost for the labor. Amazon was kind enough to return them (with a restocking fee, of course), and I decided to order some boots from Ariat. It's sad, because Doc Martens used to be a good brand and a comfortable shoe. I just don't think anyone can afford a $100 pair of boots that tear after only a few months.

I did everything in these
Doc martens usually look very liberal. However these look a bit more conservative, and wear very well. I beat the hell out of them, 3 years back packing with them, with occasional trail running (because all hiking gear is overpriced and wears horribly). They've survived a lot of creek fishing. The only thing that led me to get a new pair is that I left my foot on the rim of a fire ring and it melted the bottom, I sealed it 20+ times with super glue, but there is no tread left on either foot so I gave up.

Grip restaurant floors UPDATE they don't last long
I don't know why, but it seems like if you want a pair of slip resistant shoes/boots that grip the floor in a restaurant, they automatically have to be ugly. I don't know why they can't make the same good looking boot with a slip resistant sole. But finally, I've found a pair that looks pretty decent. It's not the best looking boot, but it's the best looking slip resistant boot that I've found. I'm happy with them *Update* After about 4 months of use, I started to notice that I was starting to lose my footing a little more than usual, while at work. And it progressively got worse over the following months. Point being that the tread on these just don't last that long. I got a solid four months of use out of them before I noticed a problem. After 6-7 months of use, it's time to replace them. Maybe that's by design or perhaps I got a bad pair. I don't know. But I do know that I hate having to replace a $140 pair of boots after only 7 months. I'm dropping my rating from 5 stars to 3 stars.

Shaft is really narrow
Wanted to like these, purchased for husband and he couldn’t get his foot into the boot.

Missing the Characteristic Yellow Stitching
I missed the absence of the characteristic Doc yellow stitching at the soles in the picture. These are a more "refined" version without the stitching. Other than that, I love them as I love all of my Docs. The fault was mine for assuming.

Very well made and look good on. Tight at first but didn't cause blisters. Very comfortable and supportive
