This Meat Tenderizer Tool Wins First Prize!
My family loves our steak, chicken and even schnitzels, (if there’s a cold beer to go with it.) So I’ve had the chance to wear out a lot of Meat Mallets. Well after using this meat tenderizer tool for a big family BBQ this past weekend, I can say that we’ve found the best tool for the job! This tenderizer from Mountain Grillers is a meat lover’s dream mallet. First of all it’s beautifully designed, with a polished finish, that’s dishwasher safe, - which is a definite plus. The mallet fits comfortably in my hand and the head is perfectly weighted and balanced for pounding and tenderizing. Other mallets I’ve tried the head would come off mid pounding, because they were too heavy for the tool. This tenderizer tool doesn’t slip in my hand, and is very effective for both flattening my cuts of meat in seconds, as well as using the textured side for seasoning, so my Grandma’s famous Texas seasoning recipe gets into every bite - mmmm...delish! And, they included a handy hook on the end, so I can hang it up, instead of cramming it into my kitchen drawer - I’m a very happy customer and I’ll be ordering from Mountain Grillers again.

A good meat whacker with one flaw.
This is good for what's needed for tenderizing some meats. You need to decide how many strokes and how hard, but that's all learning curve needs.I only gave it 3 stars because of it's basic construction.Just about everything is fine, good balance, good sturdiness, good finish for cleaning purpose. What I didn't like was the hammer head construction is 3 pieces. The center core of the head is secured strongly to the handle just fine. But then the 2 ends, different in face design are press fitted into the center core component.Like it or not the 3 piece head prevents 100% cleaning potential. The 2 joints in the head each present a micro seam little bugs(germs) can crawl into, and no matter what, there's really no guarantee you got them all out no matter how much washing you do. And then there's the joint of the head pressed onto the handle. More worries. I keep on using it because it works well, but lots of soap and lots of the hottest water leaves me wondering if "they're" really all out.

Great two-sided mallet for multiple uses and the best is it is dishwasher safe!
Very happy with this product and I am even happier that I could finally toss out my old aluminum mallet which never should go in the dishwasher but somehow did over the years. This mallet is perfect for pounding my steaks, chicken cutlets and I also prefer using it for when I need to chop any kind of nuts for all my baking ...just put the whole nuts in a baggy and gently pound away. I don't even use my nut chopper any more. It has a great handle on it for gripping too.

Perfectly weighted meat hammer AND dishwasher safe.
We eat a lot of meat in our family, and I know the benefits of pounding meat like chicken to get it to cook evenly and faster plus the textured side really helps with marinading and seasoning. I’m grateful to finally find one that is dishwasher safe. I saw this one from Mountain Grillers, made from stainless steel, and thought I’d give it a try. Well I can report that I washed it in the dishwasher last night after dinner and it came out sparkly clean. It’s sturdy, perfectly weighted and I’m really happy with it!

Great for pounding out your meat!
This is super nice and heavy duty. It’s great quality and especially easy to clean! It is very easy to use and safe as it doesn’t have anything sharp to it! Just weight! So it is excellent for pounding out our meat! We love it!

Sturdy mallet
The handle size in width and length is perfect. Mallet head size is perfect as well. You're not destroying the the meat your tenderizing and thinning. I've had others that did not work well at all. The aluminum would not clean up well after a few washes and the mallet , though larger, didn't do the job I wanted.

The mallet handle sprarated from the rest of it.
We used this to flatten boneless chicken breasts. On the second use the handle came apart. It is not a solid shaft from the bottom to where it meets the mallet head. This is exactly what happens when a company tries to save on raw materials. Thankfully we were not swinging hard or it could have been an expensive accident. There is no reason for this product to be sold, it should be recalled from the market.
