It's really large and comft board.
A large and nice board. It actually has two types of leather and is very comfortable to use because it's not the tiny, cheaper board some offer. And then you have the problem of polishing a large knife poorly on it. I've used it to polish even the largest kitchen knives from the Henckels set for 150 GBP. They're one of the best sets for the average user. I polish them back to their original shape with a polisher. I polish my knives every 2 months and they still stay sharp. And that's what it's all about.

Over priced
This strop takes a bit of work to make it serviceable. It looks good and is a nice size and well made of ash wood I believe. However the leather lets it down. One side is the outside piece of leather i.e. smooth but it is very thin and doesn't take the green compound very well it just sits on top. Ive had to strop lots of old knives to condition it and heat it up on a gas heater several times for it to take compound without it just coming off. Also in my opinion the green compound is of poor quality and far too soft. The other side of the strop is supposed to be the 'rough' side i.e. inner part of the hide. On this strop it is like velvety smooth material, not rough at all and very very thin, it doesn't resembe leather at all. I have lots of strops, some are home made so I have something to gauge this against. This isn't worth the price and I wouldn't buy it again.

To know how to sharpen in the first place.
Great for keeping knives and chisels supersharp. Well pleased with the strop.

Very Nice
Very nice. Cleans up burrs that you cant see and makes knives razor sharp. Would recommend it if you are sharpening knives.

This strop is made from some of the best leather I have ever encountered. It possesses the perfect smoothness. I really appreciate the size and width of this strop. It feels comfortable in the hand and does its job effectively. The leather has remained intact and has held up well with regular use. You can use a leather knife strop kit to sharpen everything from chip knives to bushcraft knives, as well as both small and large axes. I typically strop my woodcraft tools before and after each project, or every 30 to 40 minutes, depending on the wood, to polish the metal and achieve a razor-sharp finish.

Nice product, has a good feel to it. The paddle format is definitely nice for the control and having a second side. The leather seems nice quality. My straight razor was getting dull and wasn't sure if I'd have to buy the water stones to get it back. Bought this, put some if the fine green that came with it on one side, some extra fine on the other side. After 15 strokes(wasn't sure how many to do as this is my first time) and then stropping my razor could cut forearm hair in the air in both directions. Used it a second time to refresh, and worked great. Now I can keep my razor super sharp when daily stropping is not enough.
