Apple iPhone XS, 64GB, Space Grey (Renewed)

My phone arrived quickly in non standard packaging, and with a generic charger and plug. I was wary having read reviews of phone from Amazon Renewed, but the phone came charged, with no screen scratches, looking almost perfect except for an almost imperceptable dent in the side casing by the vent, which is covered by my new case anyway. Really good value for money, and battery life is 98%, it’s basically a brand new phone.

The iPhone arrived to me a day earlier than projected in non original packaging. It seems from other photographs that users have posted that the condition of the device varies from order to order so I will simply state how mine arrived. The condition of my iPhone is impeccable. As you can see from the photographs provided, there are no scratches or signs of damage. I’m not sure exactly what is refurbished on this device though I wouldn’t be surprised if I found out it was at least a new chassis and back panel. Though the screen is also perfect aside from a few micro scratches that can only be seen if the display is off and in the right lighting conditions. So small that even my camera didn’t pick it up. The battery health is sitting at 89% so still well over the quoted minimum of 80%. Though that is to say this device is not without signs of use. The cleanliness of the device is good on the surface though there was a bit of dirt build up in the mute slider and speaker grills. Again not something you’d spot unless you were looking for it. Though if you are expecting something brand new then you should instead buy something brand new. The fact of the matter is that you’re getting a premium iPhone for half the price that’s still fully updated and supported. And judging by apples track record of keeping their phones updated; will be the case for at least the next three years. There are equivalently priced android phones being sold this year that will loose support sooner. So yes I do recommend this product to those looking for an iPhone on a budget.

I was first disappointed to see not just the Apple logo but the entire display lighten up as I first powered on the display and then noticed the thickness of the display which was kind of massive. It was an LCD Display and it had touch sensitivity issues as well as noticeable white spots (most probably backlight bleed) on the panel. But the seller was kind enough to offer a cashback for the flaw considering it was an "Excellent condition" device. With it I replaced the display myself to an OLED though I lost True Tone in the process as I don't have the pairing kit which I hope I can get it done somewhere as I still have the old display. Other than that, aside for noticing few dust build up in the camera lens (which I can't be sure if it happened after my screen replacement procedure) the device is great and I am happy to own one of the best designed iPhones out there.

Has put a cheap battery replacement in so the battery drains really quick and got a error unknown part. So will complain to amazon and send this back.

This is a clean iPhone XS and whereas it has been renewed I could not fault it - no cracks on screen, no scratches, in short nothing to take away the look and feel of a brand new XS. I only buy s/h sub-£300 iPhones which helps keeps the price down to about £100 a year [ amortised ] This means that all my iPhones [ 4S 6S and now XS ] are kept at a reasonable price. Also I used pay as you go cards which keeps the cost of messaging and phone calls to about £100 a year. When I checked the storage on the phone I was pleasantly surprised to find that instead of sending me an XS 64 Gb they had actually upgraded me to an XS 256 Gb. Whoa dude, nice one. But don't tell everybody coz they will all want a deal. I can only think that they had run out of renewed 64 Gb variants and so they just sent me a 256 Gb to keep the sale. Thanks Guv ! This XS is an order of magnitude faster than previous iPhones [ new processor] and the battery lasts twice as long as previous incarnations. Go for it !

Phone delivered but some parts not working. Sent back slightly delay on receiving it but a replacement sent out once all signed off and excellent condition and all aspects working. Would recommend highly

I love this phone

I purchased this item for my wife as it comes with a 12 month guarantee rather than running the gauntlet with other selling platforms. It arrived in good time and well packaged. Cosmetic condition is faultless, I can’t see a mark on it. What concerns me is the battery health is only at 76% which is considerably lower than I would of expected and it’s certainly a lot lower than my older iPhone X that’s seen some serious action over the years. Time will tell , will see how long the battery lasts under normal conditions.
