Bought the 1st pair of these Thunderbolt Platinum Pro Knee Pads maybe 4-5 years ago (at a big box store) as a gift for my husband, to replace the worn out pair of “soft front” knee pads he was using while renovating our house. He absolutely loved them. He said that they had much better and thicker cushioning (gel + foam) and that the silicone front pads provided much more support and protection to his knees than the old soft knee pads he was using. The wide vecro straps stay secure, and are well above and below your knee so they don’t roll up or bunch up directly behind your knee. Now, he wears them all the time - anytime he puts his work boots on to work on a project around the house, he puts his Thunderbolt Knee pads on. In fact, he has worn the velcro straps out from wearing them so many times! We went back to the big box store to purchase a new/replacement pair. Unfortunately, the store no longer carried the Thunderbolt brand knee pads and only stocked “their own brand”. He tried on several similar knee pads while at the store and couldn’t find anything he liked as much or were as comfortable as the Thunderbolt Knee Pads. He asked me to “please find my Thunderbolt Knee pads online and buy them for me.” So here I am, writing this review. Can’t think of a better endorsement than my husband’s. Thunderbolt Platinum Pro Knee Pads are extremely comfortable, easy to wear, and are definitely durable. Well worth getting yourself a pair (your knees will thank me ;-)

Comfortable knee pads. They stay on and offer great protection

These are the best knee pads I've owned. They are extremely well cushioned and comfortable when I'm on my knees. I haven't had a problem so far with them sliding down and they are very easy and quick to put on and take off. Comfortable to walk or sit around in too. I ordered the Sellstrom Ultra-flex 3 hard shell pads at the same time and kept these. The Sellstrom were really good too but went with these because the padding was better and they are easier to get on/off.

Only used for one week but so far they are very comfortable and stay in place due to the top strap.

The best knee pads ever made , the price it's just and the quality is amazing, the durability is also pretty good, are easy to use and to put on your knees , you can move easily, they don't weigh a lot , and for the cushioning are pretty soft and firm

I want to take a moment to write this review bc these are excellent knee pads. I have been using them while working on my roof, and I have to admit that the quality is there. They really don't move at all while wearing them, and I thinks they're gonna last a long time. I'm glad I didn't;t threw my money away. I may buy another one and keep it just in case. Shoutout to Thunderbolt for not making a cheap product. Thanks.

These are great, they don't slide down and are very comfortable.

These seem to fit ok, but they are a bit too cumbersome. I will keep and use, but they do feel "heavy" when wearing them.

Très confortable et efficace pour un usage non professionnel au quotidien

Très confortables pour l'appui du genou. Fixation par des bandes velcro larges et avec de bonnes coutures. Certes, quand il fait chaud, elles tiennent un peu chaud autour du bas de la cuisse et du haut du mollet, mais c'est supportable et le conforte qu'elles procurent fait oublier ce petit désagrément. Par contre, l'utilisation avec un short est moins confortable, mais bon normalement on ne travaille pas en short. La coquille et les sangles sont également solides, le revêtement antidérapant est également efficace sur les sols carrelés... En résumé, un bon produit. A voir à l'usage. NB : le livreur (colis privé 🙄) a égaré le produit, tout de suite un second m'a été expédié.

Very comfortable fit

These knee pads are fantastic. I tried them on as soon as they arrived and could instantly tell they are high quality, comfortable, and built to last. The double gel and thick foam give excellent cushioning, while the hard outer cap feels strong and protective. They fit securely with the adjustable straps and don’t slip around like cheaper pads often do. I haven’t used them for a full work shift yet, but even just testing them at home I can already see they’ll be absolutely brilliant for long kneeling jobs. If you want reliable, professional-grade knee protection, these are a great choice. Highly recommended!
