Way of the Ninja (Ninjago) Library Binding – 1 Feb. 2012

I have just read this out loud to my six-year-old son at bedtime. It is a retelling of the first few episodes of the "Ninjago" animated television series, with a reading age of 7+ years. It is broken up into little chapters, but it really is very short. There are full-colour illustrations on every page, from the television show.This is the origin story, where Kai the humble blacksmith gets entangled with some skeleton raiders who kidnap his sister Nya. Mysterious old man Sensai Wu turns up, to explain that it's his own evil brother Lord Garmadon who's behind it, and Kai is trained up as a Spinjitsu Ninja and put with his three new teammates to be the Ninjas of Fire, Ice, Earth and Lightening.My son enjoyed it very much, giving a running commentary on every familiar character, and is now able to go off and read the story to himself.
