I wasn’t sure if I wanted to order these barrettes after reading the reviews but I thought I would go ahead and give it a try because I wanted a long thin barrette just like this one. A lot of the other reviews said that they had problems with the Barrette cracking and breaking in half. I’ve worn these barrettes many many times. And I was so worried about it breaking and cracking that every time I wore one I would put an extra one in my purse to have on hand just in case I would need to replace the one I was wearing. But happily, I can report that I really love these and I’ve been using them for months and I have not yet had one that has broken. I would say they’re not the highest quality of Barrette, but they do look stylish, and they have worked for me. So yes, I would make this purchase again. And I did because I bought a package for a friend. My hair type is shoulder length and I have fine hair but enough of it to fill the barrette.

I seen the barrette on Amazon it reminded me of the goodie barrettes that were 4 inch that they discontinue and if you want to buy them they have a few left on eBay they're selling them for like $50 $100 for like three or four pieces vintage they don't make them anymore but I got to tell you this Barrette comes very close to the 4-inch goody barrettes I said let me take a chance and buy it. it's amazing it comes the closest I've ever bought the prices are great on Amazon they only sell this on Amazon I haven't seen it anywhere else and they're really big they're a little bigger than the four inch but they're very tight when you put it in your hair so it doesn't open it's a must try must have if you like the barrettes from the goodie line when they sold them in the '80s and '90s and now they discontinued them this is the barrette to get and you don't have to pay $100 $50 for one it's ridiculous Amazon has this full collection for less than 10 bucks it's a must-have must see must try thank you Amazon Sheila

I really have to learn to use them... hate to really evaluate this early.. They look good, but the closure is harder for me than I had ho ped... and completely different. The length is great!

I wanted a longer barrette for my half up half down hairstyle. This one is pretty and seems nice quality. I took off one star because it doesn’t grip the hair so is not super secure. Otherwise these are just what I wanted.

This product is junk. Clasps hard to open OR close, two of the barrettes fell apart while I was testing them. JUNK. Other hair combs I have bought at AMZ also fell apart after using only about a month. BEWARE

I was looking for a pretty way to pull my hair back at work without using a claw or scrunchie. I have very thick hair and it’s difficult to find barrettes that don’t break or pop open during use. While I can’t pin all of my hair up with one of these, using just one works beautifully for a half up style. These are really nice quality. I think they will last.

These won’t work for thin hair so I’m really disappointed. The hair will hold in the middle where it is pressed together with other side. But there are spaces on each end that doesn’t hold hair in place. I wish so bad someone could make a 2” - 3” flat berett for those of us that would like to pull back part of our hair , and hold thin straight hair.
