Easy assembly. Great fan. Sleek, simple, and modern. Motor is quiet, fan doesn't shake at all. I didn't use the switch because i don't have the extra wire in my wall junction box to add another switch. And i just blew in insulation to the attic, so i didn't want to try running a new wire.The solution was a wireless remote. I was a little nervous buying this product before any Amazon reviews. I scoured the internet for other reviews and several mentioned that they were disappointed with how loud the fan is. They must have installed it wrong, because the motor of this fan makes basically zero noise. The only noise is the wooooosh of the fan blades and moving air - which is expected from a fan. NOISE: MinimalLOOK: Aesthetics wise it's a beautiful modern addition to our bedroom. I should have replaced my crappy old fan long ago.INSTALL: The install of the fan itself was fairly simple. It even comes with wire screws to make the wire connections. It does come with a wall switch to control the speed. This was a little more complicated as I was replacing two three-way switches with this single switch. However, if you're replacing a simple single control switch then this is pretty straightforward. The only drawback of the switch is the depth of the box, so make sure your wall box has room to handle the depth of the switch.BOTTOM LINE: I bought a 2nd one for my guest bedroom!

really, really like the look of this fan with recessed lights in my TV room but one irritating thing is that you cannot change the speed of the fan ON the fan. My hope was to set it to the lowest speed and just put a normal black switch (that matched the rest of the room). Instead the fan comes with a ridiculously ugly white variable switch to wire in. I will install something else but oh my lord it the switch the worst looking thing i have ever seen...

We were also hesitant because the lack of reviews but we were looking for something modern and something that doesn’t look cheap.We almost dropped $600 on a fan that looks like this just to be certain it would look good. We figured we could order this better priced one first and worse case return it if it didn’t look good. But it looks amazing, and we’re picky!

Love this fan!!! It is gorgeous, wish I would have also put it in our office. It is super quite. We bought a large minka for our living room and it is terrific too!! This will be my go to brand for fans from now on... could not be happier with it

This our second Minka Aire fan. We love their quiet operation! The included control was not going to fit easily into our existing three switch plate so we used a standard ceiling fan remote from Lowe’s instead. Like having the remote control option.

Did not come with the shorter 3 1/2” down rod like everybody said but I easily shortened the 6” one to get a lower profile on my short ceiling!! Will probably get more for other rooms in the house!!! In the pics the ceiling is 7’9” height and I’m 6’3” and have good clearance now so you can see why I needed the 3” drop tube also can’t use the dress bezelthat hides the screw where it attaches to fan but the fan being black you really don’t notice that unless your right up on it looking for it!! Totally not ‘brushed bronze’ it’s brown plastic. None the less it works amazingly and does t look too bad, just false description

Extremely quiet, efficient and effective fan. Easy to install. Good value for money.

Like the wall remote. Four speeds, wish the highest speed was stronger.

It's perfect for our three season !
