Simichrome Blue Away 2.5 Ounces 420071

Blue Away is excellent for lifting away tarnishes on metal golf club shafts caused by heating those shafts with butane torches. It has performed practically flawlessly in such operations for several years. I highly recommend this product.

Works fantastic! I use it on stainless steel wheel guns that get carbon build-up on the cylinder. This is the only stuff that gets stubborn, burned-on carbon off (not Hoppes Elite and not Froglube)! Caution: use per instructions and don't leave it on the surface too long! A little goes a long way.

I used this product on 2 motorcycles. First things first. SHAKE WELL. I mean, shake for 2-3 minutes and ensure the product is very homogeneous and mixed.For removing blue, it works fairly well. I had only used it on blue with a soft rag and considerable elbow grease. The blue was probably 70% gone. This was only one treatment.I recently used it on my BMW R1200RT that had considerable yellowing, and it removed it ASAP. This time, however, I used 0000 steel wool (finest grade). The steel wool, ripped into small pieces, was coated with BlueAway and it seemed to break up the surface tarnish quickly. I coated the area, and gave it small swirls with light pressure. After about 3 minutes, I used a dry terry cloth and removed any residue. After I was finished, I used Simichrome chrome polish (in the tube) and it made the chrome bright and shiny.This seemed to work for me. great stuff ! I have bought a number of products over the years that promised to remove discoloration from motorcycle exhaust pipes. This is the only one of them that actually does what it promises !

Overpriced and as a sharpener I learned that this is useless and a waste of money

liquid form: it helps tame the really bad blueing but it doesn't make miracles. It really helped clean the center of a lot of the blue stains but left a ring of blue. maybe 10 minues of scrubbing wasn't enough, maybe with alot more scrubbing....

Works as advertised. The bottle is not all that big. I used it on a Motorcycle pipe that was golding and blue away fixed it right up, thought I used almost the entire bottle. on about a 2 foot pipe.
