Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  We lugged this huge blanket on our carry on as our checked in baggage. Used it at the beach. It flew away in the water while we even put four heavy rocks on the sides. Sand always gets on the mat and it DOES NOT slide off easily. It’s all over the blanket no matter if you try to avoid getting sand on it. If it gets wet, it stays soaked for a long time and the sand stays on it longer even if you smack the whole thing against a wall or pole to try to get the sand off. It’s only good because it’s light and you don’t burn on it but as for taking this to the beach and thinking it’ll stay down and not get sandy and soggy is an understatement. We will he tossing this out after our trip. I would not recommend taking this with you on a beach trip. Maybe only for a picnic on grass or something.

Love the size of this picnic blanket! It's large and spacious. I used this during an indoor sleep over and my friend and I were able to sleep on top of this on the ground side by side with our sleeping bags with about a foot in between us and some inches on outer edges to spare.I live in mild weather so I like that the material is fleece but I could see it getting hot to sit on during warmer days. I don't like that "crunchy" kind if material of some other picnic blankets and liked this because it feels cozier and softer to sit on.It's not the easiest to fold but if you follow the creases it should be fine. And if you don't need it to fold back neatly so that it velcros to itself (which is also where the blankets carrying handle is) then just fold it however way you want and stuff it into your carrying sack of choice or just hold it to carry around because it's pretty light.I think it's pretty water resistant. I have used this on some damp grass and nothing seeped through. I also haven't tested how easy it is to spot clean this blanket as I haven't had any major spills or messes just yet.So the reason I only gave this blanket 4 stars despite really liking it is because it doesn't have stake loops. Since the blanket is quite light it blows up SO darn easily with any mild gust of wind! Soooo annoying! I am going to sew on little loops myself and buy some stakes so that the blanket can be anchored into the grass. Very inconvenient and ruins the functionality of the blanket.

This blanket is huge. I love the size but that's where the good stuff ends. Yes the blanket is easy to fold but you have to turn it on the fleece side to fold properly, that means the fleece side will get dirty/wet. The description makes it seem as though it was somewhat padded, the blanket is super thin. Although the fleece itself makes it soft, there is no protection from the hard ground/ floor, because there is no padding at all. The blanket is thin and lightweight and it folds up well and its bulky.I havent used it outside so I won't comment on whether or not its waterproofI still like it and the cons arent deal breakers.

I had to pack this thing in my suitcase, and it was very light, which was perfect for the trip to Croatia. It offered some cushion against the rocky beaches, and it was easy to carry around, dry and clean. The problem is that it is so lightweight that when there a strong breeze coming from the water, this blanket doesn't want to stay in place. It would be nice if there was a way to secure it to the beach for those windy days on a sandy beach. Other than that, I think it's a great product (if there is no wind).

Got this after having to sit in the grass at the last concert. Folded and unfolded easily and we didn't have to worry about wetness since its waterproof. Will take to the beach next month and see how it does in the sand. The multicolored block pattern looks just like the picture and the fabric feels sort of flannel like on the top side and vinyl on the bottom. It was a nice size for two tall adults to sit on legs outstretched.

The blanket is a little thinner than expected and the material leaves fuzzys all over your body. It fits about three people comfortably if the three people all want to lay down. Otherwise, if everyone is just sitting, it could fit about 4 to 5 people. It’s not the easiest to fold up again but it’s not rocket science either. The product comes with a black bag that does not close (seems broken maybe) but it’s a really nice touch and I am glad it was included.

Nice to have for the beach and probably picnics. Not too heavy to carry around but it is difficult to get it folded back the way it was, despite that i would recommend to others. Wish they also had more designs to choose from.

I bought this in prep for a beach vacation with 3 small children - I was looking for something big enough for the whole family to sit on. This was plenty big, but sand stuck to the fleece material on top. I think this would be good as a picnic blanket on grass, but won't be bringing it to the beach again.
