I've put away all of my other earbuds!
When I found out that Plugfones had a new generation of earbuds I was excited to buy a pair of the new Plugfones Motorhead and see if there had been any improvements. I was pleasantly surprised. The first thing I noticed when I opened my Plugfones Motorhead is that they now come with both the foam earplug tips as well as the silicone tips, which allows you to select the best tip for you and your environment and comfort. I prefer the silicone tips, but some prefer the foam tips. Everyone is happy! The cables on the new Plugfones Motorhead are slightly longer than the original Plugfones, and the joint where the left and right earbud wires meet is in a better position – making these more comfortable to wear. Also, the wire and plug appear to be of higher quality than the original Plugfones. While I haven’t had any issues with my original Plugfones pulling apart, my new Plugfones Motorhead are obviously built to last.I really like the new color options with the new generation of Plugfones. I picked the Motorhead (black/orange) color combination for my first pair, but will probably pick up a pair of the Plugfones Executive (black/grey) as well. If anyone from Plugfones is reading this - I’d love the option to buy silicone tips in different colors and have fun creating my own unique color schemes (black/yellow, black/red, blue/white, etc).I’ve had a set of the original Plugfones now for a couple of years and love how they block out the sounds around me, but always felt like I had to put up with less than stellar sound quality. As a result, when I wanted better sound, I’d grab non-Plugfones earbuds and crank up the volume (and probably damaging my hearing). I'm glad to say that sound quality is the best improvement on this new generation of Plugfones. These new Plugfones Motorhead have increased bass and an overall amazing sound quality. They sound great listening to any kind of music (I listen to a little of everything). I own earbuds from other brands such as Ultimate Ears, Skullcandy, Bose, and others. I’ve put them all in my ‘old tech’ drawer and have been using my Plugfones Motorhead headphones exclusively. They are that good.

Quite satisfied, would like more features
Let me start by saying I absolutely recommend this product and at this price point I am willing to buy another pair if I ever need to replace them. That being said, I think they could use a couple adjustments that would be easy to accomplish for the manufacturer.1. Inline controls!!! Even if it's just a play/pause button, when using these on a motorcycle (their obvious target audience), you have no way of pausing music to talk to people. I'm looking into ways I can get around this, like this cable, coupled with a female to female adapter https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00K36XWG0 but I really would have liked to just have it already on the headphones, even if it's a "premium" pair with a $10 price hike at most.2. A 90 degree bend coming off the earbuds would help with the cable getting caught when taking off your helmet, or, if you're like me and like to loop the wire over the back of your ear.3. And finally the foam. The foam seems to extend a good few millimeters past the hole for the speakers, so when you put them in, your ears pinch the foam closed and you can't hear the music. Pretty easy fix to just cut the foam back, but I'm not sure why they don't make the foam shorter, as they stay in perfectly fine without the length. All in all, my previous foam tip headphones were Westone ADV's, which I think were about $300 when I got them. Although the sound quality obviously can't compare, I will have no problem buying another pair of these if they ever fail me. Unlike the Westone's... RIP

Great Product and Service
I’m very happy with the Plugfones Motorhead that I purchased in late August 2015. They are comfortable and work much better than the speakers that came with the Cardo Scala motorcycle communicator I purchased in early summer.Aside from the high quality audio, I like the way they cut down engine (1150GS BMW), wind, and road noise – while still allowing me to hear other ambient sounds and non-radio friends’ voices when we speak directly at stops. I enjoy motorcycle rides even more when I have the Plugfones in my ears.I only used the Plugfones a half dozen times this fall. I rode with my older Arai Quantum II helmet which was getting loose. When I used the Plugfones and put it on, I could ease it over my ears with minimal pressure on the Plugfones.A few weeks ago I got a new Arai Defiant helmet that was a tighter fit around the sides than was the Quantum. I only used the Plugfones a couple of times with the new helmet and tried to ease it over my ears so as to minimize disturbance to the buds. Whenever I removed the Plugfones from my ears I made sure to grip the insert itself and not pull it out by using the cord.As I got ready for an early-December ride, I went to insert the plugs into my Scala communicator and noticed that one of the plugs was no longer connected to the wire. I have no idea about what happened to cause the problem.I sent an email and photo to Plugfones to see if the Motorhead could be repaired or replaced despite a just-expired warranty. Tyler K. promptly responded and told me that a replacement Plugfones Motorhead was on its way to me.Great product. Great customer service. I’ll continue to encourage my riding buddies to purchase Plugfones Motorhead.
