EverGreen Multi-purpose Grass Seed 420 g - 14 m2

The first time I bought a 420g box of this lawn seed. The packaging date was only 6 months earlier. The lawn came up really well with thick healthy grass. I then bought a large box, 1.6kg. The packaging date was a year earlier. This also came up really well with lovely healthy grass. Both of these boxes were from Amazon. As I was so impressed with the lawn, I bought another 1.6kg box. This time I purchased it from Premium Products WB. However, the packaging date on this box was over two years old! When I tried to grow a lawn with this seed, the grass seed did not grow at all. It was clearly a box of dead seeds. So I wasted £18 on dead seed from Premium Products WB and then bought another box sold by Amazon, expecting it to be no more than a year old again. Unfortunately this box was 18 months old. I have decided to return it and not waste more money on old seed that may or may not grow. So my advice is that when you receive your grass seed, check the packaging date on the base and if it is more than a year old, return it. I wish I had returned the 2 year old box as I literally ended up with nothing for my money. But if you get a good box that is no more than a year old, you could end up with a lovely healthy lawn as my first boxes gave me.

This grass seed works really well; it germinates quickly and produces healthy, green grass. It’s easy to spread, and the results are consistent. The only minor consideration is that you need to keep the soil moist during germination, but that’s expected with any grass seed. Highly recommended for patching lawns or creating new grass areas.

Didn't seem to grow much

Great little product that does everything it says it will. My garden was in disarray after years of having an 8ft swimming pool and a trampolines. We purchased turf but had bald patches, after using this product it is now suitable for tennis! The box opens easily and sprinkles the seeds evenly due to its easy to use distribution. After 8-10 days seedling appeared and now my garden is looking lush and green. The packaging includes a spreader on the lip which means you can sprinkle the seed everywhere and plenty to go around

This box of good quality grass seed has a side opening with a closable flap which makes it very easy to sprinkle grass seed onto the desired area. There is plenty in the box to cover quite a decent area - obviously not enough to seed a whole lawn but if you have lots of patches and bits that you want to replace this is just the job. Follow the instructions and you won't be disappointed.

I overdid it on the weed and feed a while ago and therefore had to buy some seed to fill in the gaps which were scorched, the back garden has far better soil so I started to see shoots appear in 5 days and they grow quick! The front garden took two attempts but the soil quality isn't brilliant. Took a bit longer to see the shoots but grows quickly once the shoots have taken!

Small box but did what I needed it to just don’t expect it to cover a lot measure the area first. Easy to apply since it’s got a pull out tab on the box so just sprinkle away.
