Wish I'd bought this ages ago!
This had made bath time so much easier for me and the dogs. The water sprays out in such a way that it seems to penetrate their fur much faster, and I love the automatic soap feeder. I take it with me to the dog park, where my dogs just get filthy, and using their hose I can have my dogs clean and rinsed in just minutes. Mine did not come with an adapter to fit my indoor shower nozzle, but I already had one. I can use this indoors or out.For reference: I have two pit bulls, so short hair dogs.Pros: The spray is neither too hard or too soft. I had one other Rapidbath nozzle for the shower that sprayed the water out so hard I wouldn't even use it on the dogs- it would have been water torture! I've since moved that one outside and use it wash the car. This one has two choices for water pressure, and ironically I find the 'Low' option to work better than the 'high'. But both options are really effective (not too hard, not too soft) for washing.I love the soap feature. I use that first and my dogs are wet and sudsy on the first go. With a little bit of hand scrubbing to help, I'll have surface-clean dogs in no time. For dogs who aren't that fond of bathtime in the first place, the faster the better. Easier on all of us.The more I've used, the less they fight me through the process. Probably because it's become so quick and easy.Rinsing is fast! Whatever they've done with the oxygen/water combo, it gets right through the fur and soap is gone.Cons: It uses a TON of shampoo. I started buying the cheapest shampoo I could find just for this device because it uses so much. Now I don't care, and it's worth it to have clean happy dogs.If you want a good, deep, thorough cleaning, skip the auto-soap feed and just get your dog wet and hand wash. The auto soap just doesn't quite get down in there deep, and it doesn't seem to provide enough lather to really scrub up, in spite of how much soap it uses! It still makes bathtime easier because of the faster water penetration. I save the good shampoo for the thorough baths and use the cheap stuff for the quick rinse-off baths. Rinsing is still a dream with this sprayer though, even with a heavier lather.Overall: I still think it's the best purchase I've ever made for dog bathing. We are outside with our dogs a lot and they are constantly splashing through mud puddles, chasing through underbrush, rolling in what-is-that-SMELL stuff. I used to hate letting them just go be dogs in the dirt because bath time was such a chore. But with this, it's squirt-squirt-done, and they are mud-free and odor-free in minutes. Love it.

Easiest bath EVER!
I can't say enough good things about this product! First, let me say I have only used it once - BUT - in over 30 years of bathing large dogs in my bathtub, I can honestly say that was the easiest bath I've ever given! No aching back, I hardly got wet. It was so easy, I told my husband to bring the other dog and I gave her a bath, too! My husband removed the spout cover from our tub and attached this, using a length of flexible hose and a couple of adapters he got at Home Depot. It's not pretty, as I now have a pipe sticking out of the wall, instead of a tub spout, but I don't care! I must qualify - I also bought a couple of tub tethers to use to hold my dogs in the tub and that was another godsend! I don't know which is better, this product or the tethers. I think they were made by Rinse Ace? Two in a package, big suction cup on one end and a clip on the other to attach to the dog's collar. Worked like a charm! Get these two products TODAY and end your dog bathing frustrations forever. I'll update again after I've used it for awhile.

Oster Professional Rapidbath 078599-619-000
This is my second Rapidbath product the first only used the expensive cartridges and was not available in the refillable style at the time. I received this 9/27/16 and love the savings of adding your own pet shampoo. I also uses less shampoo and water than with a conventional bath. I wish they made one that was not plastic for home use. It makes quick work of bath time which not only makes it easier for me but the dogs as well.6/10/17 - Update on original review: Product broke last month and is out of warranty. I use this unit approximately every other week and it has not been dropped or abused in anyway. Plastic gear that controls the functions (Soap, Rinse Low, Rinse High) has broken, you can hear it moving freely inside. The unit now fills the shampoo compartment with water. I disassembled the unit and tried to repair with JB Weld Plastic since the break is above the actual teeth in the gear, but won’t hold. Shame they can't make the moving parts out of something more substantial.

Big improvement.
I purchased this unit because the Handy Groomer I have been using was dripping badly and seemed to be falling apart. However I did not want to spend the money a professional system would cost. I was skeptical because there comments made about the amount of shampoo used and the force of the spray. I am washing a 60 lb. Labrador who swims every day in a nearby pond which is sometimes scummy. She does not like to be bathed and really hates the regular hose which I think hurts her skin. She tolerated the previous unit.Long story short, the spray is just right, at least for a short haired dog. Not too strong to hurt her but strong enough to get a good rinse.I did notice that the soap comes out somewhat fast, but I have been able to moderate my technique and have gotten 3 baths out of a full reservoir. Also I dilute the shampoo 50-50 before filling the reservoir, since the shampoo is so viscous. And, since I bathe my dog daily, I do not want to strip her coat of natural oils. I do not use a conditioner.I think this unit is easier to operate than my previous system and not to big for my hand. I like that it attaches directly to the hose and not on another fitting which kept slipping off and always dripped. This is much better. We have it set up In the garage sink with a two-way diverter attached to the faucet. I get nice warm water and run the hose straight outside. Bath done in less than 3 min..I do want to reiterate that the shampoo should be diluted, otherwise you are going through shampoo too quickly. I noticed the instructions do not say to do that.
