Cheap plastic straps & ratchet latches
One of the hold-down ratchet strap locks broke on first use! The pin that holds the ratchet to its holder popped out--won't pop back in. Although the main rack is made of solid steel, the hold-down straps & locking ratchet are made of cheap plastic; buyers beware! Why the manufacturer ruined an otherwise sturdy unit is beyond me; penny wise--pound foolish. Enclosed photos show a normal ratchet latch and my busted one. Also photo shows how straps will not snug-up onto the bike's frame. There is gap that prevents bike from being held firmly to rack, so it wobbled while being hauled. Yeah, it was under warranty, but I really don't want another one that'll be made the same way. I bought a different brand to take the place of this one.

Almost lost a $2500 bike
This product seems reliable at first, especially with all their guarantees. While driving, one of the straps broke off and I nearly lost my bike

Took me a few minutes to sort out how to install, but once you get familiar with it, you're off. Nice that the latches come labelled with top, side and bottom to make installation easier. Managed to load my bike before the summer holiday drive and look forward to using it to drive out to remote places and keep up my riding!
