Hoppe's No. 9 Gun Bore Cleaner

This cleaner is great. It seriously gets off carbon. My dad has a Glock 48 that had some carbon stains from years of use. Especially on the end of his grey slide and this stuff reversed the aging of his gun. Every time we go out and shoot and I clean it for him the gun looks newer than before. Totally removed the carbon from the slide. I have a Glock 20 and not only does the outside of the gun look like new still but so does the inside. The smell is pretty strong, but goes away quickly after the gun sits a bit. At that point you can only smell it if your nose is right up to the gun. It sucks when you get it on your hands. I usually clean on a towel and I’ve designated a towel for gun cleaning now because the first towel I used the smell didn’t come out in the wash so yeah. Cleans great though

my first time purchasing hoppe's 9, i like the product the only thing is i live in an apartment so the chemicals left a nasty taste in the back of my throat, and it left a smell in your nasal passage if you can please use this product outside. it left my guns clean, and bone dry I'm used to using a CLP but since I've used hoppe's 9 it's definitely better to strip the gun oil from your firearm and apply a fresh layer of gun oil. You can use CLP, but your guns will never be fully clean without a gun solvent. CLPs are best suited for you when you want to do a quick clean wipe down or what we call a mickey mouse job in our home, no doubt a CLP will get the job done but there's nothing like getting your gun back down to bare metal.

Top notch product. Like any Hoppes product, you can be sure it will work.
