First, I'd like to disclose that I got this thermometer to test and provide a fair and honest review. Having said that, I love this thermometer mainly because having 2 young girl toddlers in the house, we have multiple thermometers that we keep handy. We have couple of forehead-swiping thermometers and an underarm/oral/anal thermometer as well. We always had problem measuring fevers during girls' sickness periods. It has always been annoying leading us to getting measurements with all 3 to confirm if they were giving similar temperature readings. With this no-contact (I'll come to that later) thermometer, life is really much more easier and we are very happy.First, I will start with my minor complaints: Hylogy should invest in creating a better user manual as the printed text is so small it is hard to read. I am not sure why they wanted to keep the print so small. Second, they should also be more clear as to why they call it no-contact and then show and recommend to make sure that the sensor is securely touching the middle of the forehead. In fact, I figured out that, it is not necessary at all. You can point it at the forehead and it still measures which would be great with babies specifically.I kept taking readings from both my ears and forehead and compared it with other thermometers and this one is reading pretty much the same temperature time after time whereas my other thermometers will fluctuate significantly. The best part of it is, to get a reading requires only a second or 2 which is wonderful. I can't be happier.One last suggestion for the company is to rethink how the second button works, i.e., switching silence mode and object measurement mode because it is really hard to figure out as to when to press that button for how long to take those actions. It should also allow shutting off the thermometer quickly rather than waiting for it to time out after like 30 seconds.Overall, a great thermometer and I am very happy I have it at home. This will be my default thermometer now.

I bought this for our daughter and her husband. It was crazy because she had received it in April yet on our Amazon order list it kept saying your package is lost. Lol! Not sure what the confusion was but after nearly two weeks Amazon finally figured it out. The thermometer was a hit she really needed one. She gets weekly allergy shots and can you believe this they were still using the thermometers you put in the mouth. I know they had plastic disposal covers on them but still I felt she needed one that she could hopefully take and they would allow her to use her own. With supervision of course. Well it happens that same day she took it the clinic, they had just switched to forehead thermometers. She said it works great and it is accurate. It also looks just like the ones her allergist office is using.So shes very happy with her new thermometer. So gad I was able to purchase this at an affordable price. Compared to others which are priced much higher. At the time of purchase this particular thermometer was the least expensive. I’m guessing it was hard to find affordable ones seeing as how many businesses were having to buy them. Guess that day I got lucky. So if my daughter is happy I’m happy too. This was a great purchase. I Highly recommend this item.

This would make a great gift for a family, especially for ones with children or a newborn. Easy to use. Comes with a quick start guide, a more detailed booklet, batteries, and a cloth storage bag. Can be used to measure body temperature from the forehead or ear. Has to be close to the forehead, but does not need to be in direct contact. Has two other modes beside the ear and forehead measurements. Can measure the temperature of other objects- like a milk bottle, and the ambient room temperature. I took this thermometer to my physicians office where they measure your temperature at the door. Checked it with theirs and it was only 2 tenths difference.The instructions are a little unclear for one of the modes. However, what may be lacking is more then compensated with customer service and their very timely response to questions via their email. They usually respond within 24 hrs to your questions with clear answers.It is object mode instruction that is somewhat unclear. Firstly you would set the thermometer to F or C by holding the MOD button down for 6 seconds until the F/C is displayed. Release the button and toggle to F or C to set and then release. Wait and let the unit turn off. You do not need to do this each time for subsequent measurements. To enter the object mode, you press the MOD button and hold till the F/C is displayed and keep it depressed for about four seconds more. Then the LED displays 7 icons. After releasing the MOD button , the object mode will in place with the milk bottle icon displayed. Pressing the start button will then measure the objects temperature. After any of the temperature measurements, the ambient room temperature will be displayed.Would not hesitate to recommend this product.

Works great so far...just as expected...however...I'm not down with the new business trend to save money. Printing ridiculously tiny instructions on tiny pieces of paper. Every person who buys your product will eventually loose a little of their sight. Do us all a favor...set a new trend and enlarge your print. Be a leader! You can spare a few cents more on ink and paper.

I bought this to be prepared to check quickly the temperature to my son every morning in case we will send him back to school. I'm really impressed on how the forehead measurement is really precise: I have compared it with another standard thermometer several times and it is really close ( a difference of 0.4 F at most). the forehead reading is immediate: 2 clicks and 5 seconds total and you have the reading. even the ambient temperature is pretty accurate and aligned to the thermostat reading. You can change from F to C and vice versa and you can also disable the chime. It fit perfectly in your hand and the buttons are well positioned.Recommended!
