Not for use in secular institutions
This book is inappropriate in a public school setting with its religious content, deeming it useless to me. Such books should be put in a separate category and have a warning to those who shop for neutral content that works in wide variety of settings.

Representation of ALL children (a diverse book)
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This read was an absolute breath of fresh air where books for children are concerned. Not only will your children learn different methods of coping with their emotions, they'll learn a resourceful array of vocabulary to go along with learning the alphabet. If they are captivated by vibrant illustrations like my children are, then the bold colorful artwork will be an added bonus.💞With the brilliant way this book is laid out any parent, educator, counselor, or pastor would be able to utilize this book. One could incorporate this book into their circle time activities, use in addition to a monthly study unit, or reference in a session or sermon. I've already envisioned an entire lesson plan with this book as the main focus, and began including a skill into daily family discussion!💞In such a fast paced world with so many expectations at an early age, it's never too early for any child to learn beneficial skills that will last a lifetime. Insure your children learn the necessary coping skills needed to avoid becoming overwhelmed or discouraged by adding this book to your home & school library.💞

B is for Breathe
I never knew that the alphabet could generate so many ideas until I read B is for Breathe. I think the book helps children internalize each letter of the alphabet. In addition, the author provides small activities with the letters. Use them for your children’s birthday party or play date. Finally, I wish I had this book to read to my children when they learning read. Yet, it’s not too late for parents with small children; grab a copy and you won’t be disappointed.

One of my favorites
This book is SO needed. What a wonderful way to teach such important coping skills. I would go as far as to say it is "genius" for what it is trying to do. The illustrations are also absolutely wonderful. Everyone with young children should have a copy of this!

Go diversity!
Beautiful illustrations and fun way to outline coping skills (through the alphabet). Thank you for creating a book with diversity so kids can see themselves in it!!! We need more like this! Unfortunately, because “p” is for pray I won’t be able to use this book in my schools so I’m pretty bummed about that.

Awesome Read
My son read this with me to his class. It helped him because he definitely gets frustrated with his emotions. He felt very good about understanding it and talking to his class about it. His teacher thought it was awesome as well.

Great tips to help children cope with some emotions
B is for Breathe is a book I wasn't sure what to expect but it really is a fantastic book and very useful to help children cope when they are feeling frustrated, as the cover suggests, but I think it could also work to calm down with other emotions too. The book is an A to Z with a new strategy to cope with feelings on each page. Each of the pages has one letter of the alphabet with the strategy and a short explanation of why alongside a bold and bright full page illustration showing a diverse range of children practicing this strategy. I think this book is done brilliantly and I am pleasantly surprised at how good it is. Some of the strategies may be quite simple and obvious to us as adults but it doesn't really matter as the children could look through this book themselves and might take something from it and be able to find a way to cope by them-self if they don't wish to share with others how they're feeling. The illustrations are lovely and calming to look at and give a good demonstration of how the strategy may help children and as it is not based around a story it means that they could be read in any order if you wanted to focus on one over another. This is a brilliant book to get the children thinking about ways to cope and stay calm with certain emotions. Definitely worth a read for primary school aged children to help them become more aware of how to calm feelings independently and in a gentle way!

A useful book to teach kids a multitude of different coping skill options
This adorable book starts with a more detailed list of the A to Z concepts to be introduced, so that adults understand them in more detail in case kids ask questions later. With cute, diverse, illustrations of kids carrying out each activity, the picture book then uses short, simple text for each A to Z page. The wealth of suggestions included to help kids tackle “fussy or frustrating feelings” will be helpful even for adults, and should cover options that will appeal to all different kids. A useful book that should help kids learn a multitude of different coping skill options - put together in a simple and attractive kid-friendly package.
