Our baby has been getting his nails professionally done for 12 years. When he was 2 yrs old I accidentally clipped too much of one nail and he bled, I was devastated that I hurt him. Ever since then, I have been traumatized to clip his nails myself. Perhaps this has happened to some of you parents out there too!So, we have now moved to a different state and have had the hardest time finding a truly loving & caring Manicurist for his "mani & pedi". It's been ridiculous! After watching our regular Manicurist for many years, I said, "You know what! I am going to get an electric nail trimmer and try it! What's there to lose?!".Received it, and I have to say, I was super intimidated by the whole thing, the noise, the speed, how to hold it, angle it, etc.. I was nervous when first trying it. I followed the tips, let my baby smell it, turn it on for him to hear the noise and get used to it (he is very cool noises already), I pretended to trim his nails by touching them with the side that didn't have the trimmer going and say "Perfect! Good boy!" ... He was very cool about it, I am sure I was the only one that was nervous.I started with one nail as my heart raced and left it on for a few seconds, took it away and said, "Everything is okay, I can do this!" I went in again on the other side of the nail, I did this to a few nails, took a few breaths between to stay calm and honestly, it took me a few minutes to get the hang of it, but once I did, it was FABULOUS!I promise, once you do get the hang of it, of how to hold it, angle it, how much it trims and how fast it grinds, the noise, the smell, and how your touch affects it, you become more confident and it becomes very easy.By the time I was on his 4th paw, I was rocking it, my angling was wonderful and his nails were looking wonderful! I did every nail little by little, I even went back once I felt more comfortable, I did them all a few times to get them as short as possible. I keep the protector on it and use it that way to this day and on the lowest speed, I only keep it on each nail a few seconds at a time, it grinds fast, which I can control by checking every few seconds and I am no longer scared to trim his nails myself! I was so happy and felt so thankful that I gave it a try!We couldn't be any more happier. Not only can I trim his nails at anytime I want, wherever I want, but it is also saving us $15 usd, each time I do! :-)The device itself is very nice and so far seems very durable. It's fantastic that you can charge it and easy to clean. I do recommend that you clip any little hairs your baby has prior to using it that may go over his nails so that you do not hurt them!Mommy is now his (VERY loving & caring) personal Manicurist for ever!! :)*****5 million stars, highly recommend.

Couldn't be happier! I was afraid that going with this trimmer that is "cheaper," might be a mistake (bc sometimes you get what you pay for, right?) but thus far it has worked VERY well. I have three small Dachshund dogs and even though they're not used to it yet, it trimmed with ease. It has two speeds and it's not loud by any means. It hasn't hurt them at all; thus far I've only used it with the guard on, so of course it's a little slower going than if you were to take the guard off. I've been able to trim their nails back a good bit and I'm going to continue until I can get them down to where I want them to be. The charge lasted the entire time while I used it. I haven't had to stop and charge it when I've used it. It's also able to be operated while plugged in and charging if you need to do that, so that's a big plus as well. So just know that although this may be very inexpensive (and maybe you're like me and thought that if you didn't pay much for it, it probably wouldn't work well), it works very well, at least mine has thus far and I'm happy with the purchase and I would definitely recommend!

Love this nail grinder! Great price, charge holds for many grinds. It is not too loud and my dog doesn't mind. This is a great product of your dog has black nails like mine. I use it once a week since his nails grow fast to keep his quiks short.
