I have a 18ft Tahoe Q4 Ski Boat that we primarily use on soft bottom lakes and was constantly struggling with keeping the boat in place when anchored. I have tried a multitude of anchors but always ended up struggling to pull the boat back into place/readjust the anchor while the wife and kids were swimming and having fun. With the Sandshark, I am able to quickly deploy the anchor and bungee line and it stay put until we are ready to leave. Plus their customer service has been super helpful. Highly recommended if you are having the same issues I've had.

Been using this auger with the bungee tie rope all summer. I think the results would not be as good with a standard anchor line. Holds my 20’ Glastron deck boat in shallow water (up to 4’) well IF you drive it far enough into the bottom. The lake where I live has a couple of inches of sand on top of clay and muck. It does take a fair amount of downforce as you drive it in to get it to hold (I use all of my 220 lbs to push it in as I twist). The bag it comes in is thick and high quality, and can easily hold the auger and bungee. The plastic tip is durable and does not scratch or damage the gel coat on my boat. A steel tip would probably make screwing it into the lake bottom easier, but would require extra care in storage. The shaft and handles are well made, durable, and plenty strong enough for the job.

Sometimes you have to rate a product on other factors. My Sandshark worked very well the first three times I used. I cleaned it as instructed and so on. The fourth time I tried to use it the trigger release didn't, work so I could not extend it. I contacted Sandshark help and they immediately took action. AWESOME!!!!. They sent me a new Sandshark and a shipping label for my return. I commend them for their quick response. Buy this product because its good and the customer service is great!

I've had the opportunity to use this a few times now and it has not let me down! I generally use it as a secondary anchor to keep my boat from spinning around when there are other boats around in a crowded area. Using the sandshark anchor along with bungee dock line holds the boat steady in one spot and is easy to put down and connect to the boat.

Awesome!!! We are on Lake Wylie NC and in the middle of the lake is "the sandbar". Great spot only 2-3 feet deep and everyone stops there and it gets very crowded. The waves get rough due to heavy traffic, you dont want to move a inch! The Sandshark hold like a dream! Make sure you get the shock lanyard, no hard jerking when it gets rough. Highly recommend for shallow rough water.

Sandshark works great but the latch is aggravating when trying to adjust the length. I almost lost half of the sandshark thinking it was latched when it was not.

Tired of having to continuously readjust your anchor while out at the sandbar? This is a must buy!!! This was a lifesaver during the 4th of July, I used it for my new sea-doo and tied my parents 26ft pontoon boat onto it as well. I'm planning on purchasing two more for the rest of our water toys!

What a great/easy to use and very reliable (so far) secondary anchor to allow you to not have to deal with another large anchor when tying up off of the beach, sandbar, etc. Love It!! 21 foot/ outboard/St. Augustine, Fl. All the other Boaters that saw it had to know about it:)
